The Original Rubik's Connected 3x3 Smart Bluetooth App-Enabled Rubiks Cube

Having had a normal Rubiks cube gathering dust for years I decided to try this. First things first - it feels 'quality' and it was very easy to sync with the app. The bluetooth range is excellent. Secondly, the app is very intuitive to use and has really good tutorials; don't expect it to 'spoon feed' you, you have to do some of the work yourself but I managed to get my head around it and thats someone who has a normal cube gathering dust! I've not yet tried to use it in competition with others because I want to practice a bit first but the concept of testing yourself against the clock or against other people gives the whole thing some purpose. It's a very clever idea...

I was never a speed cuber but used to be able to do the cube. I couldn’t remember the sequences and wanted to try to learn to do it again. I was reluctant to buy due to the price, but glad I did. I’ve had the cube for about a week now and within a couple of days, I had picked up the sequences and was able to remember all of them after a couple more days. I can now work on my times. I still have my old cubes but after using this rubiks connected the movements of the old ones are so stiff and have to be aligned exactly to be able to turn. This turns so easily and there are no worries having to be perfectly aligned. It was easy to set up the app. I’ve only had to resynch my cube once so far and that was straight forward and quick to do. The games are fun and quick to play. I was deciding between this cube and two others. Although this one is stickers, I was drawn to this one as it looks and feels like the original Rubik’s cube. I also checked reviews between the three cubes, and decided on this one. I may never be a speed cuber but I’m already faster than I ever was!

It's been a great cube to learn with, but being stuck with the stickers have slowly meant that the edges have become more and more of an annoyance. The application is also pretty decent but unoptimised, there's no landscape mode for tablets and larger devices, plus the cube can't be synced cross-device, it would need to be reset and repaired, which is annoying when you have multiple devices you go between. Overall, really good for beginners like me, but I'm sure it will lead to a higher quality purchase to replace it in the future.

Don’t waste your money!! Does not work! Expensive piece of kit that does not work. It won’t stay connected to phone and now won’t connect at all. Seems to only be able to connect when plugged in but then you can play. Very disappointed and upset little boy. To add insult to injury there is no support available.

I really like this cube and I absolutely love the accompanying app. Addressing some of the criticisms from other reviews: Yes, it has stickers, but I've got stickered cubes which I've been using for years which still look and solve nicely. If you were to have sticker problems there are lots of specialist cube places which sell replacement sets (mostly so that you can choose custom colours I think, but you could just do a straight-forward replacement too). Yes, the battery percentage doesn't update in real time, but there are two solutions: 1) (Carefully) remove the blue centre piece and press the reset button for a few seconds (there a videos online). or 2) In the app, just go to the menu (via the hamburger icon) and select Load Cube State. The battery lasts for quite a long time, so this isn't something that you need to do constantly. In conclusion, the cube isn't quite as nice as the Giiker I3S Super Magic Cube, but the app more than makes up for it. Recommended for anyone who takes cubing seriously.

Super happy with this gift for my 12 year old son. He loves the rubik's cube and also loves gaming. I thought this would be a combination of the two. Initially we couldn't work out how to get it going and the company offered an exchanged. But first we tried a big 30 second reset while the cube was plugged in and suddenly it worked! Within an hour my son had won his first rubik's battle against someone else online. Very impressed with how smoothly it moves. It seems pretty durable. Hopefully the levels in the app go high to maintain challenge. I was a little surprised when I was driving along and my son started playing me Happy Birthday on the rubik's cube - yes it has sound apparently! Brilliant. Totally recommend.

Bought this because I got on well with Rubik's online tutorials and figured this could take some of the pain out of learning. Pleased to report that it does. The app tutorial is as accessible as their web page but with the added bonus of giving you a heads-up when you make a wrong turn and letting you practice each step of a basic solve in isolation. Not sure if it would be as good for advanced users but as a starter kit at a fair price I'm really impressed.

Cube doesn't do a great job of keeping synched with the app. You have to manually reprogram the app to match the cube. Why the app can't use the camera is beyond me considering what modern phones are capable of. When the app's not open, the cube won't remember its state. There are many other issues with the app, e.g. forcing you to watch tutorials that you already understand. The old, paper instructions are clearer than the app's way of teaching. At the end of the day, the phone link is just a gimmick but the cube itself is pretty good. It's silky smooth right out of the box and catches when lined up. I wish I'd saved a few pounds and just bought the non-bluetooth version.

Je viens de recevoir ce cube, et à ma grande surprise je remarque que la boîte est endommagée et que le scellé est ouvert... Est-ce un produit neuf ou reconditionné ? De plus je l'ai payé 80 euros et maintenant il est à 70 euros, à quelques jours d'intervalle ! Suite à mes remarques auprès du service client du vendeur, ce-dernier a répondu à mes attentes et je suis entièrement satisfait. Je passe donc d'1 étoile à 5.

Great rubic to help the kids learn how to solve the rubics. My 10 yr old can now solve it in less than a minute.

"Go from beginner to pro in no time?" I mean, not exactly, but what is true is that, paired with the official mobile app, you can fairly easily learn how to solve a Rubik's Cube with the Rubik's Connected, a rechargeable, Bluetooth-connected magnetic speed cube officially licensed by the Rubik brand. It's manufactured by Particula, who also makes the Go Cube, which is a similar product. I'm not really going to review the app, as it's separately obtainable for iOS and Android, other than to mention that this cube connects to it and communicates with it. This cube is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device, and as such, software on most Bluetooth hosts can theoretically connect to it and receive information from it such as the movement of the cube's six sides and the charge level of the internal battery. The cube does not report the overall state of all the pieces, however; you can either start the app off with a solved cube and it'll keep track from there, or you can load the current state of an unsolved cube into the app by telling it what pieces are where. The app needs a starting point, and it has those two ways in which you can give it one. And when I said "theoretically" – I have actually integrated this with Home Assistant as a fun project and can now use it as a control device for home automation. The cube itself is the exact same size as a typical 3x3 Rubik's Cube, so if you're familiar with those, you're familiar with this. However, even if you ignore the Bluetooth connectivity, this is still a magnetic speed cube – the sides are very easy to rotate. You can literally turn them with one finger. There are magnets at the corners to help them stop at aligned positions. Compared to other cubes I've used, and I've been solving Rubik's Cubes since they became widespread in the US in the early 1980s, this one is an absolute joy. Compared to the stiff original cubes, this one is so very smooth. I've gotten my solve time down to consistently under 2 minutes, which isn't record-breaking or anything, but for me it's good. What you get in the box: The cube itself, a charging cable, and some booklets. The iOS/Android app is downloaded from the appropriate app store. The charging cable clicks onto the center piece of the yellow side, which is why that piece has what appears to be a black X on it; that's where the charging contacts are. The other end of the charging cable is a USB type A plug, so it has to connect to a powered USB-A port like a computer, USB hub, or charging block. The plug provides no USB connectivity; it's only for charging. So, by itself this cube is a lovely if somewhat expensive way to enjoy cubing. With an iOS or Android device it becomes a learning tool with options to race the clock, see your stats, play head-to-head with others online, or play various cube-related games. Will it make you a pro? I mean, pro speedcubers exist, but I have no way to know whether this cube can get you there. But it can certainly teach you to solve a cube and improve your time.

A la segunda pero al final hemos logrado sincronizarlo por bluetooth con móvil y tablet El problema es que no se sincroniza y no te da ninguna pista de por qué no lo hace ... No tiene led de carga.... No hay forma de ver el estado de la batería si no lo sincronizas... Etc Después de devolver uno un vendedor nos indica que hay que presionar el interruptor que hay bajo la tapa azul..... Si no me lo dicen ni lo veo.... Durante al menos 10 segundos.... A partir de ese momento.... Y después de haber devuelto uno por ese motivo.... El segundo que compramos logro sincronizar .... Sin más .. una vez superado este trámite el cubo es una gozada... Ligero preciso robusto.... Buena calidad en general Y la app también... Bien acabada y con las opciones justas
