Great Book of Carving Patterns: 200 Ideas for Woodcarving Projects (Fox Chapel Publishing)

A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY
If you purchased ANY of her previous books, you just wasted your money on this one! Everything is duplicated, does not show any shading as per her previous books. The only items that were not duplicated looked like they were drawn by a third or fourth grader. Anyone who wants one can reply and I will sell you mine at 1/2 price. Even at that, I feel duped. No reason for her to do this one. I have purchased all of her previous books and have been happy with both the subjects and the quality. My guess is that she needed some quick cash - thus just duplicate everything!

Many, many patterns.
As the title states this is primarily a source for patterns. Mix of simple and mid-level patterns with a few complex patterns.

Only if you don't have any other Lora Irish.
If you are only going to buy one Lora Irish pattern book, get this one. It has a lot of nice patterns to copy, and some that'll make you cringe, but they are all from other books. There is little that is new. And unlike previous books there are no shaded drawings alongside the linedrawings to guide you. The contents are:Country folk artFloral & still lifeNauticalFishingPatrioticWood spiritsBirdsWildlifeI like it and would recommend it, but it is just a book of drawings to copy.
