Will get the job done
It's not cold enough to wear this in the conditions for which it is intended, but trying it on a few times... it is p.i.t.b. to put on just due to the fact that it is a "two-in-one". The eye slit is very narrow, perhaps a bit narrower than I thought. I was wondering if I would feel claustrophobic with this thing fully covering my face, and it IS very restricting. However, my face is always freezing, even with a neck gaitor pulled up, so... this was what I wanted. It is VERY stretchy. It is made from acrylic yarns. Acrylic is VERY cheap and stretches out of shape - it does not spring back to shape when moistened and dried as other fabrics do.There is so much fabric, and it is so stretchy, that I cannot put it on without it sitting high on top of my head like the "Cat in the Hat" Dr. Seus cat's hat. You have to fidgit with it, get it to pull down in the back, and down your neck. So the part that was sticking up OVER my head, was the part that should be down my neck, even though it was already down my neck. Weird. So I can't see putting this on without a mirror to help adjust it. One good thing I found was that when organized into the position where the entire neck gaitor part is above the brim, it is not as bulky looking as I thought it would be. Checking with mirror around all sides, it's decent... and is bulkiest from the front. So, not so bad.So... it's weird... super stretchy, and large feeling, yet really restricting when it comes to the full face cover - there's barely room for my eyes to see out. But that's what we want, right? There IS a chemically smell at first. I have left mine with some cologne samples inside the hat to see if that helps any. I would not say that it is machine washable. The brim is made of cardboard (underneath the knit), like most caps with a brim, and would get ruined if soaked in water... and especially tossed around inside a washing machine.

Your face is warm but your hands are froze
I was riding my bike to and from work everyday including the winter. I was riding close to 5 miles a day and I'm the winter, thats no bueno. So I bought this. The banclava is perfect. It keeps you warm where you need to. You can wear it multiple ways. It didn't work so great when you have sunglasses on but it still worked. It's soft on the inside so your face is for sure warm. Your hands on the other hand aren't so warm. The tips of my finger were froze by the time I got home from work. If there's an option without the gloves, it's worth it. The gloves aren't though

Vacuum Sealed!
Vacuum packed, not a good idea, it makes the hat all wrinkled. The knit quality on the outer side is not a tight knit, don’t believe it will keep you dry on the plus side very warm material inside

Great idea, but poor implementation
For years I had been looking for something like a sock hat with a brim to keep my ears warm and the sun off my face, and this looked promising. Unfortunately, overall I am disappointed with it. The design is such that when the neck piece is pulled down, my ears are mostly uncovered as the sides are too far back away from the face. The brim is narrow (about an inch narrower than that of a baseball cap; see photo, with red part being a baseball cap), thus doesn’t provide much shade. I also wished they had attached it lower on the sides rather than high like a baseball cap which doesn’t shield the sides of the face, especially in winter when the sun is lower in the sky. The yarn is poor quality, such that the insert for the brim shows through the yarn, and the edge of the piece between the brim and neck piece looks like it could unravel with very little use. That same piece also has a bulky stitched seam in back when pulled down below the chin. It is also one unlined layer, and it is too short and loose when pulled up to stay on my nose. The hat is really too small for average head size even without lots of thick hair. The topknot makes the shape of my head look strange when the neck piece is pulled down. I ordered the gray color, but when I opened the outer package, it was so dark I thought they sent me the black one; they may have, as it does look more like the color in the photos when I have it in bright sunlight, but still seems darker, so the color you get might not be what you expect (gray when you expect black, or much darker than you expected). On the plus side, if I pull the neck piece up over my ears and over the sides of the brim, it does stay put and should keep my ears warm with the several layers (though I’d give up neck/face warmth), and it offers a little bit more shade on the sides of my face. Plus worn that way, it is more stylish. The furry interior is soft, and the yarn isn’t scratch on my sensitive skin. It came in a vacuum-packed bag, so the good news is it will pack quite flat. I’ll probably keep it for the upcoming trip I have where the weather will be cool but not super cold, and then afterwards wear it for yardwork, and only wear it just with the neck piece pulled up over the brim and my ears. Such a waste given the design ideas.

Saved me from freezing at work!
This past harsh winter, for N. California, and a new job location for me outside on a mountain top with wind, rain and snow blowing sideways I really needed some face, ears, and head protection and this Knitted Balaclava Beanie Hat saved me from freezing and allowed me to continue on my projects. I specifically bought this one because it had a small built-in visor/bill that could shield your eyes from sun glare. It worked great! While NOT rain resistant in the least, and it's not supposed to be, the stretchy, comfortable and warm hat kept me very happy!I highly recommend this if you need full head protection from the harsh elements.

Very good product
I used this while snow blowing my driveway for the first snowfall here in Wisconsin. It was fantastic. It kept my head and face very warm. I thought I would need another layer to be honest, but it was perfect. The only downfall is when I put it on my head the first time, I did hear a little rip or tear - I didn't see anything so perhaps it's just stretching out, but we will see how the quality holds up. Overall a very good product.

Love it but…
It’s soft and warm but couldn’t give 5 starsI found the opening was too wide and sewed it a little to make it less wide. The pallet is cardboard so I’m trying not to wash it in the washer i might just replace it with plastic because i really like the material and it’s really warm.

SMALL LOOK ON VISOR AND HEAD -
I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN THIS PRODUCT - BUT IT IS INSULTING TO DO SO - IT IS WARM - THE LENGTH FROM HEAD TO NAPE IS GOOD - IT JUST DOES NOT LOOK THE BEST ON - SO FOR SHOVELING SNOW - AND MAYBE WITH WEAR IT WILL TAKE ON MY SHAPE AND LOOK BETTER - I AM KEEPING IT.
