I am very impressed with this camera. Pros: This camera makes me look nearly cinematic. it's like having a dslr. First. this camera is the only one in it's price range which supports USB 3.0 - this is critical for 4k at 30fps without massive lag. if you do experience lag, then plug it into a dedicated port instead of a usb hub. I love the massive control you have for the resolution range and the optical zoom. I work from home in my bedroom and i don't want my co-workers to see my room so I zoom right onto my face so the background is barely visible behind my shoulders. I then use blur background - though this wouldn't work for a wider angle lens because my wife often walks behind me and the closer cropped image reduces the risk of her being seen in a meeting. The clarity you can achieve with just 100ms or less of visual lag is great. its about as good as watching youtube with bluetooth headphones one. this thing is tiny. the camera body itself is full aluminum and is about 2x2x1 inches. I love how small it is. Cons. I wish this camera functioned better with lower light. with the aperture wide open I can't quite get it as bright as i would like it. The manual controls are way to sensitive - especially for the focus knob. the tiniest touch can pull focus a couple of feet. this becomes a huge issue if you ever need to zoom in because the focus will change with the zoom as well. overall - im super happy with it. buy it. seriously. you could use this webcam for tons of other purposes. this would be a killer security camera - it could even operate as a microscope for soldering SMD electronics if you use a tripod that could point down - since the focus point is about 2 feet away while using max zoom.

Excellent specialty product. If you need a short focus, high resolution camera then you are in luck. Here it is. Package contains camera, USB cable A and adaptor, mounting screw and a rubber base, and instructions. Be aware that the OBS Studio that works well with this has a great deal of functionality and is not for the stupid.

Ok first things first.. This is one of the few cameras on the market which takes advantage of USB 3.0. It can do 4k, but make a note that it is going to use some cpu. For streamers, just use 1080p. It is the fastest, smoothest 30fps camera I have used. You do need to be aware that this is a manual focus camera. If you are walking around in your scene or not in a fixed position, a standard webcam may be better for you. The Logi 922c isn't even in the same league as this camera. Even the Brio doesn't come close. Obviously those cameras are going to offer more in ways of the camera and software doing all the fixing for you. If you know what you are doing with manual cameras though.. this is the one to get. Before I continue, let me say that I work exclusively with OBS on Win 10 20H2 for my setup. You will need to know how to manual adjust a camera. There are three adjustments for the included 5-50mm lens. Zoom, focus, and iris. Zoom and focus should be straightforward. Iris is how much light you are letting in. I read a few reviews about the camera appearing more blue than it should be. In a knee-jerk moment, I pre-emptively bought 2700k lights for my setup... Shoulda waited. At 2700k my image is very warm. 2800k-3000k lighting is going to be about the right light for this camera. White balance setting in the camera is manual and ranges from 2800k to 6000k. I did not need a crazy amount of light to get my imaged balanced. All of the settings are adjustable from the device properties in OBS. The included lens is slightly small for the imager so the image will have a little vignetting at the outside. I'd actually say this adds a lot of depth to the image and gives it a nice cinematic quality. The camera takes lenses with a CS mount. You can use C mount lenses as well but you will need a CS mount spacer / adapter to add some focal length. I have not tried any additional lenses yet. There are a few imperfections in the lens glass that can be seen with the lens all the way zoomed in and focused, but it is unnoticeable even at macro lengths. Image quality looks great from 5 feet all the way to 15 feet in my room. With the lens set for a target about 5 feet away, there is a nice dof at 10 feet away. I will be buying more of these to replace my other cameras.

This really is good value for money. It delivers the same quality video as the expensive videoconference cam at work at a fraction of that price. As long as it remains reliable and doesn't die an early death like my last webcam I'm very happy and even more impressed.
