TinySA is an excellent choice
The TinySA Spectrum Analyzer is a remarkable tool packed with features in a compact, portable design. Despite its small size, it delivers accurate and reliable results, making it perfect for hobbyists and professionals alike. The interface is intuitive, with a clear display thatโs easy to navigate, even for beginners. Iโve used it to analyze signals across a wide range of frequencies, and it performs exceptionally well, providing detailed insights that are usually found in much more expensive equipment. The rechargeable battery and portability are huge pluses, allowing me to take it anywhere. If youโre looking for a powerful, budget-friendly spectrum analyzer, the TinySA is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Can't beat these for cheap RF experiments.
These are great reference tools for experimenting with RF. So long as you go in understanding these are not lab grade, you should be happy with the tinysa. The menus are kinda confusing when you first start, but it's no worse than 1980s tech.

Good rf analyzer for the price.
I use this almost everyday working with rf mic systems. After a couple of months working with it I really like it as a way to see the rf space in the environments I work in. Itโs not my only tool in my work but it helps me to plan out what frequencies I can use and what bands I can operate on. In that regard, Itโs been a good tool. Itโs held up well but im quite protective of my gear so im not throwing it around. But it seems reliable and a nice addition to my bag.

Small Screen but very helpful for positioning OTA Antennas
I am used to Spectrum Analyzers being big and not very portable. This one will fit in a shirt pocket. So going in the atticor on they roof, easily fits in pocket to keep your hands free. Also uses a rechargeable battery and uses USB C charging. For OTA Antenna alignment, if you know the frequency of the stations or group of stations you are trying to receive, just connect the rf cable, set your frequency range and rotate your antenna while monitoring signal levels on the TinySA. I bought specifcally for that purpose, but it also operates as a signal generator. Haven't used that function or had the need too. There is not much more I can say that others haven't already said. Decent product at a fair price.

works even though the screen is a bit small
The screen is a bit small but usable. With the software and USB it's much easier to use on a PC where you can make the display as big as you want. I tested it with a function generator for a frequency standard and it is acceptably accurate. Both the sine wave and square wave look like what you would expect. This is an excellent addition to my test gear at an amazing price. Came from a vendor recommended by the manufacturer as not a clone as well. I have been finding it very useful and hard to beat for this much money.

Amazing Capabilities for the Price
Who would have thought that you could have Spectrum Analyzer AND Signal Generator capabilities for such a great price? I've used this unit at home and to measure spectrum at a repeater site. It works well standalone, BUT connecting it to a laptop gives you a lot more flexibility, ease of use, and ability to save or record measurements for future sharing. I've also used the Signal Generator function. You can even enter PL or CTCSS tones for FM modulation to test repeater receivers.

Don't use on 2 meters as it violates FCC rules.
This radio would be 5 stars but for one very bad flaw. While 70c and 1.25 meters are clean the 2 meters band has very bad transmission on adjacent frequencies. So if you use 2 meters you will be transmitting and interfering with other frequencies out side the ham bands.

Used to measure frequency spectrum in a radio under test.
Definitely small! Works as intended.
