BatesWomen's Gx-8 Boot

I stand a lot so I looked into shoes that would be comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry. Another site had reviews from police and security–just the people who stand all day in all weather. This was one of 2 brands they recommended. I stand on concrete floors all day, and walk as much as I can. These shoes have good soles and absorb shock well. The treads are very stable. I appreciate the curve on the heel to allow for rolling my heel a little as I walk. The ankle part is not too tight or lumpy. I have "medium" ankles, not super-thick or -thin, maybe on the thinner/bonier side... They provide good ankle support which helps with feet getting tired. My feet do not get wet in the rain (we have no drainage on our streets, so I navigate some epic puddles). They stay warm in the snow (I shoveled snow for a few hours the first day I got them. My feet are always freezing, except with these boots.)If you are into this style, these are also quite stylish. I receive a lot of comments, both jokes (I am a smaller woman, I wear leggings a lot, so I get asked if I am going hiking sometimes, but these are more stylish than hiking shoes!) and compliments or requests for feedback. More people ask me about them, where I got them and how they fee than making jokes. In short, plenty of people covet my footwear.These are not cheap shoes, but they feel good now and I expect them to last me a long time. So far, I have no complaints. Loving these boots!

These are the best fitting and most comfortable boots I have ever worn. This is the sixth pair I have purchased over a period of twelve years. They will last years even with daily use. The Gore-Tex lining will keep my feet warm and dry during the winter and cool during the summer. The construction is sturdy and supportive of my joints. Made for people who need to be on their feet for extended periods of time.

I’ve been wearing bates boots since the early 90’s. They keep getting better and better. Super light and comfortable. I always get the composite safety toe. I’ve tried many other brands over the years and nothing last as long on comfort or durability. I highly recommend these boots.

I bought these boots thinking I'd be able to replace my pair of Sorrels and while they're a great pair of boots, they are completely different. I love that they have a side zipper however (unlike my Sorrels') you can't just use the zipper to get in & out of the boot. The other disadvantage is that there isn't a back loop to help pull the boot on.I have fallen arches(flat feet) and am currently in orthidic braces which do not fit in this boot. However I do like the support they offer around my ankles and they seem to provide sufficient arch support for a short while.Because they are new, the leather is stiff so they rub a bit on my ankle bones but nothing major...hopefully with time & use, they will loosen up and be more user friendly. I do feel confident & safe walking in the snow or icy conditions while wearing these boots (Chicagoland Polar Vortex Climate🥶) & so far they have kept my feet warm ~20* F...The quality is A-1 and I do believe these boots will last an eternity. My major drawback is that they are a bit difficult to get on & off quickly. Otherwise, go buy these boots because they are bad-ass!

These boots are so comfortable. They fit to size. I would not go up a half size because the shoe would be too big. The steel toe is wonderful. I do not feel pain when the boot bends at the middle of my toe. The boot has comfort shocks. I do not feel pain in my feet. A bit expensive but worth every penny. These will last me for a good while. The treading is thick on the sole of the boots.

These boots are a great price for the quality. I have wore Bates boots for years and unable to find my size in the area I live. I was worried about buying before trying them on. They fit great and are comfortable. Will perchance again.

These are my new favorite work boots and I am so happy that I settled on this pair and size! They are sturdy yet comfortable and incredibly durable. The side zipper is such a nice feature and comes in handy especially in the busy mornings or in a pinch to get out of the door. I swear by these boots and can assure you they are well worth every penny!

One of the boots of the pair works perfectly, absolutely no issues. The other boot..... the zipper gets stuck EVERY DAY. It's incredibly frustrating!!!!! Will never buy these boots again.

I use my bates boots mostly for motorcycling.Right out of the box. A perfect fit. Can ride, walk and do it all in these boots. This is my second pair. I had Cyrens before but now they changed manufacturing location and they did not fit. The GX8 fit perfect. No break in period needed with Bates boots. Love love love em.

Love the Bates boots, it will be difficult to influence a change from their product line. 5 years and completely satisfied with all items.

I am in the army reserves and needed a good pair of gortex boots. These did not hit the mark, not even close. For Bates raving about the quality of their boots, I expected more. I wore them this summer for a course I was on, mostly inside, daily use, with a bit of field work. These DID NOT hold up. The heal and sole has separated and cracked in numerous spots. I wore these for a few hours a week to break them in for the first couple months, then for 3 months during the summer, 5 days a week. 6 months is the length of time I got out of these boots. For the price I paid, I expected a lot more. I couldn't imagine heavy field use. These would fall apart immediately. And this is not my only pair of bates, I own a pair of code 6, which within the first 10 minutes, eyelets popped off. Very disappointed in Bates and will not be buying this brand ever again.

Elles ont mal été moulées. Lorsque l'on entre le pied, on sent un défaut dans la bottes qui fait mal. De plus elles avit déjà l'air d'avoir été portées. Il y avait un pli d'usure de marche sur 1 des 2 bottes.Pour le prix c'est plutôt décevant
