This is the sturdiest one we've owned over the 25 years we've had our inground vinyl lined pool. Love the hole in the cap. To anchor it, you can put a piece of cord or wire thru it and just tie a knot on the inside. (I use a 2 ft. length of plastic covered wire) . I anchor it to the rail going up the stairs of the pool. Then, to fill it just remove the cap and let it float while filling the bottom with tablets. Had it a full two seasons and it still looks good. Might replace after one more season just to be on the safe side. Don't want the bottom falling apart and dumping tablets onto the floor of the pool. After all it's concentrated chlorine in contact with plastic all summer. They're not that expensive to replace.

Works as it should. Has been in the intense Phoenix sun for a few months and it's holding up ok. Holds enough chlorine for the average home pool.

Yeah, it floats, holds tabs, looks nice, travels all around the pool without getting stuck anywhere, you can put a variety of chemical "tabs" in it, but (it seems) they could make it to last longer than a year before cracking in your hands. It seems to be a problem with all pool supplies that they are grossly overpriced, and no matter the plastic, the chlorine and sun chew them up very quickly. Some of the stuff from pool supply outlets is just downright cheap, at a price-gouge price. The variable dispenser thing on the bottom will stick in one position, so set it where you want it and leave it. The dispenser will last longer than a year, but fades and turns brittle after six months. I have a solar copper ionizer thingy (also a plastic) that has not discolored at all in a year, and shows no signs of falling apart.

We love it. It’s much better than dealing with the built-in dispenser that came with our hot tub. This one is incredibly easy to use and adjust. I really like the fact that it holds more tablets so it lasts longer in between servicing!We use bromine tablets in ours, definitely five star rating!!!

This is a great way to constantly dispense chlorine into the pool. It holds several tables and floats very well. It's very durable and great value for the money.
