Silverline 8mm Plastic Hinge Dowel Inserts with Screws, 50 Pcs

Sturdy nylon hinge dowel inserts that are true to size (8mm) and fit the pre-drilled holes in the rails of my reclaimed cabinet door perfectly. Easy to install with just a couple of taps from a mallet. The included screws securely fastened the hinges into the dowels. Wish I could have purchased a smaller quantity for less money, but they certainly worked very well.

These are exactly what is advertised. Have a plan to be able to tap the "nuts" in with a plastic hammer or a block of wood between the "nut" and a regular hammer. The friction fit takes a bit to get it to start to seat, at which point you can double check to make sure the position/clocking is correct for the hinges you're using, and then you can drive them home. They are VERY secure once installed. The screws are pretty decent quality and very close to what was provided with the manufacturers hinges.

The product is fine but it did NOT work as promised for my IKEA kitchen cabinets. The dowel inserts (screw anchors) were far too big for the IKEA cabinet pre-drilled holes. I ended up solving this problem by screwing into compressed toothpicks jammed into the pre-drilled holes. But apart from being too big for my use, these screws and dowel inserts are fine.

I've tried 4+ different products but this is the only one fits factory-drilled cabinet hinge mount tightly. I'm very happy with this product and plan to purchase more to replace the rest of old hinges with new soft close cabinet hinges,

Great quality. Good fit and easy to hammer down without damaging the door. I used it in a 8mm hole. IKEA kitchen doors.

Bought these to install Blum hinges into pre-drilled Ikea cabinet doors. Worked perfectly. Pressed the plastic insert into the door with a trigger clamp but you could probably tap them in with a hammer. They fit very snugly.

Came with a lack of screws but after contacting supplier, they sent me a pack of screws to replace them. Great product and great customer service. Thank you!

We only needed a few of these but were forced to buy a huge package (they don't sell small packets of these). That's our only complaint.

I had some loose 15-20 year old cabinet doors that had similar inserts that have since cracked or become compromised. The result was that the doors were wobbly and didn't close correctly. These plugs totally fixed it! Super tight and nothing is more satisfying than a door that closes properly after 4 years of wobbles. I wish I could have only purchased 20 and not 100, but whatcha gonna do. I could not source these at local hardware or big box home improvement stores.
