Smartrip TSA Lock 3 Digit Combination Luggage and Travel Padlock 2-PACK (Black)

The colour is nice as you have another identifier on your luggage BUT I was terribly disappointed when one of them froze on me! No amount of manipulation worked, I had the correct combination, and to my knowledge, no one had fiddled with it as I was at least two weeks from TSA's nosiness. Not a happy discovery but fortunately, I was staying in a five-star hotel and a quick call to the concierge brought a nice young man with a bolt cutter.

I love these. They are easy to set up with the enclosed directions. I bought some others recently that were difficult to turn and was glad to see these didn't have that problem. They come in different colors which is nice and helps me to recognize my luggage, as long as no one else has the same color luggage and locks anyway.

Received within a few days, which is why I gave three stars. One lock works and one is faulty. Guess I'll be buying the lock for my 2nd suitcase somewhere else...Too bad, because these are nice locks.

As others have noted, these locks are indeed very cheaply made. Even though I read all of the instructions before trying to set the lock, the first one still managed to bust on me (hard to say if it was DOA or the cheapness of it meant I destroyed it). Once you get down how the lock works, they are decent, but the price is too high for just one actual working lock.

The locks arrived on schedule. They appeared to be what was advertised. The issue though is that one of the locks was faulty. I set the combination fine on one lock, but the other was hopeless. After several attempts, I gave up. I have contacted the seller, but no response at this point. Most likely will not recommend these locks.

Worked as expected. Supposed to allow TSA inspection without cutting the lock. One bag on arrival in Europe was missing the lock. Assume TSA cut it instead of opening. On the return however, another bag has the log attached but opened. So TSA used it one of two times.

I wasn't impressed by these locks. They are plastic, small and hard to set. I read all the instructions on how to reset my numbers, one lock worked on the 3rd try and one has never been able to be reset. I'm not sure if I will use them or buy others that are easier to use.

I got these to use on work trips where my luggage will be unattended. They are easy to reset, and I like that you can still attach a label to the bottom of it. I will get more of these when our entire family takes a trip!
