Attractive, illustration & text could use more variety.
I chose this calendar for its whimsical style, inspirational and biblical quotes, and Prime shipping availability. The large text of the inspirations is a positive as our young daughter can easily read them. The whimsical aesthetic of the calendar, with a mixed media, watercolor look of the illustrations is as expected and attractive. The mid-weight paper has a shiny finish. The downside it that all the monthly illustrations begin to look too much alike. Reds dominate many pages, the backgrounds begin to look the same and the text spacing and size is very similar on each month. It would be nice if the attractive illustrative style was maintained, yet the text, lay-out and color placement had more variety throughout the year and perhaps corresponded with the seasons in some way.
