Granite Ware Round Covered Roaster, 3 lb - Speckled Black

I have a solar oven, and while I enjoy using it, it does take a little planning. When cooking with a sun oven, two main things matter: the size of the pot and the material and color of the cookware. This covered roaster checks both of those boxes. The size is spot on it fits in my oven like it was made for it. The dark enamel finish is also ideal. Black enamelware (Graniteware) absorbs sunlight and converts it to heat much better than shiny pans, which tend to reflect light and reduce efficiency. Glass will work, but in my experience it heats up a bit slower. I’ve always liked enamelware in general. It’s lightweight, durable, easy to clean, and holds up well over time. I’ve had this pan for almost two years now with zero issues. Pros: · Perfect size for a solar oven · Excellent heat absorption (black enamel) · Lightweight and easy to clean · Durable Cons: · None so far Bottom line: This has been a great pan and works exactly as expected. I would repurchase and would recommend.

Sourdough Bakers!!!!! This is for you! I love these 15-inch pans for my sourdough loaves. I can fit 4 of these in my oven at once. My loaves are around 950g pre-bake and there is plenty of room in them. They are also very light in weight making it easy to transport to and from the oven. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

I bought it because I saw it could be used for sourdough bread and I really don't regret it. It's lightweight, the perfect size for my sourdough bread, and it cools down quite quickly without having to wait a long time before storing it.

This is a good roaster so far. It became the size I wanted, its smaller than the other one I have that I roast a whole chicken in, I was going to replace it with this, but its not the correct dimension (its 10inches wide, 14 inches long and almost 4 inches deep) but this is great for pot roast and probably chicken thighs. (made pot roast) easy clean up.

Pot Continues to arrive with chips, enamel missing. I have the same small Dutch oven that is five years old and it is still going strong without any chips, dents scratches, missing enamelware. I decided to buy another one as a back up because I found it to be such a great product. This is my third return because this pot continues to arrive with chips, enamelware missing, defective showing metal undercarriage. they also use a super heavy tape to tape the lid and pot together which can also result in pulling off enamel. I just don’t see where their quality control is coming from or obviously it looks like they don’t have any quality control . The company keeps sending out damaged products. I will wait and try to re-purchase later and if it arrives without any defects, I will be happy to change my rating to five stars. It’s a great product if it arrives in excellent working condition. Waiting… update August 2026 - ordered another enamelware roaster pot, hoping for an undamaged piece. It arrives in a bag, but the factory has sent out a pot that has enamelwear chips with enamel missing from the base rim and the top outer rim. Again, this is why it needs to be returned; “Why You Should Return It? Risk of Rust: Exposed iron or steel under the chip will rust when it touches water or food juices. More Chips May Pop Off: Heat makes metal expand. This can cause more enamel to break away near the damaged spot. Lost Value: A new item should not arrive damaged. You paid for a whole, safe product”. Why can’t the factory produce a properly glazed small roaster?!!
