The perfect companion to your keychain. ;) It's easy to pull open, the blade is sharp enough to slice very smoothly and quickly through packing tape when opening a box (that's the only thing I've tried it on thus far), and it's lightweight. Not sure if you'd be able to get away with taking this everywhere, unless they allow pocket knives up to a certain length. But if no knives are allowed (i.e. airport), they may confiscate this if they decide to inspect it. It's a bit thicker than a regular key, and that could be the giveaway. I'd probably just pack this in my check-in luggage and not risk having TSA confiscate it.Edited: I forgot to remove it from my keychain on a recent trip to the airport, and yes, TSA quickly identified it in my bag when it went through the x-ray machine...and it was indeed confiscated.

I asked the police about using this as protection and was given the ok because it doesn't have a locking feature to keep the blade open. Also it is less than the 2 1/2 inch rule. While the officer prefers pepper spray so I wouldn't be close , he said that according to police statute it is ok. If you go to school however, it might not, as cafeteria knives are technically classified as a weapon, but just use common sense.

Really love these keychain knives. Purchased two of them, one pink for myself, and one black for husband because I knew when he saw mine, he would want one. Sure enough, he did. I'm a daily walker and while most of my walk is in a residential area, there is one part of it that is not. For a brief time, my walk takes me along a heavily wooded creek trail. It's beautiful and my favorite part of the walk, but also potentially dangerous. I carry this knife, blade open, for added security along the trail portion of the walk. I hope I never need to use it, but I know it will cause some serious damage to any attacker if I do. It's small and discreet and just right for this application. I'm not sure how sharp the blade is along the side, but the point appears to be very sharp, sharp enough to do some real damage. The problem with pepper spray is that, if the wind is blowing, it can blow right back in your own eyes. A knife is a much better idea, especially one that is easily concealable like this one. I give it 5 stars.

This is a cute and great little key to have. It is beneficial in many situations and blends into the rest of your keys to any place you decide to place it. However, I gave it four stars because the key to have been a little smaller since it is more bulky and the knife a little bigger. Overall, a wonderful and great tool to have especially the leopard print.

As crazy as it sounds, I have found so many uses for this little knife. From opening packages and mail to cutting tags off of luggage. I am a frequent traveler and I have never been stopped by TSA- I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing. I feel safer having this little knife on my key chain. The product looks exactly as pictured and is a bit thicker than expected.

Love this as an unusual gift for my friends. Its hard to find little gifts for your friends, and this is funny as well as being useful. Easy to carry in your purse on a key ring. Get one for yourself. Use it to open envelopes, as well as packages. Cut those annoying tags off of your purchases.

Great present for my little sister. Looks so much like a key you'd be surprised. She always carries a pocket knife but this is so much more convenient. Great way to keep her safe as she goes to college.

The Keychain Key Shaped Knife is everything I had hoped!!!! I bought them for my wife and daughter -- they are perfect!!!!!! Easily deployed yet concealed in a key shaped sheath!!!! Fits well on a standard key chain!!!! No one knows they have a self-defense weapon!!!!! I even kept one for myself!!!! The knife is long enough to to do some real damage if required!!!
