Excellent Camera
If you are looking for that nostalgic early 2000s photo look, this camera is for you! Super lightweight and easy to use. Also, I received the camera very quickly. It is in great condition for being a used camera!

Absolutely Satified!
This camera is exactly everything I wanted. It takes clear and crisp pictures and works just like the sellers said it would. Really satisfied with my purchase, if you want beautiful, crisp and nostalgia-like images (or just really good images, with a soft beautiful glow), this camera is for you!

Not Happy :(
This camera has great specs, however I am not happy with its picture quality. Every pic I took had red-eye problems even after reading the entire manual and adjusting all of the settings I could not get a desirable result. It does alright outside but... inside it produces very dark grainy pics. I am returning this product and sticking with my old reliable Vanon A540.

Great Camera!
After reading some of the reviews on this camera, I resisted the temptation to get the newer touch-screen version of this camera. And despite the $20 cheaper price on the newer version, I think I did the right thing. This is a very small camera and you really can't help putting your fingers on the screen while using it. So I really think the mechanical controled S6000 version is definitely the way to go. Beyond that I was VERY impressed with this camera. The pictures are VERY clear and the features totally blow me away. I've had hundreds of cameras in my lifetime. Many of them very high-end and some cheaper ones. But this one is my favorite. Its almost like Nikon took all my favorite features of my previously owned cameras and crammed all their best features into the S6000. If you are a point-and-shoot photographer, this camera is fantastic, but if you like to push the enevelope with a camera (like I do), this camera will go right along with the program. The camera is nice and small and can be slipped into your shirt pocket very easily so I always have it with me. Battery life seems to be fantastic too. I purchased my first Nikon in Hong-Kong back in 1968. This is only my second Nikon and I'm wondering why I ever used anything else!

Nice Camera, just too small for me.
Growing up with Film cameras then moving to my Kodak Easyshare CX-7530 im used to a camera you can hold onto and have it have some weight to it. I know some others like the ones you can stick in your back pocket and just quickly grab it and shoot. (i'm getting there) So out of the box the Nikon S6000 was packed nicely, but the camera even tho I knew the dimensions, looked just too small for what I felt I wanted. I did snap a couple of pictures and the picture color and quality compared to what I had been taking with my 5MP camera was immediately noticed. This cameara did take some nice colorful shots. The little accessory cover on the side which covers the USB / and A/V out seemed to be flimsy and like it could easily break off, it was only held on by one small rubber piece and it sort of swung down to open. The battery cover worked but seemed really lightweight, the whole camera is not heavy at all. The screen was nice and colorful, I didn't play with it a lot b/c I knew i wanted to return it once I saw the size and felt the weight, but it was clear and bright. I think for someone who wants a small lightweight camera this will definitely work for you, for those who want a camera with a bit more heft, then look at some other models. Good Buy if a small point and shoot is what you are looking for !

Always Canon...First Nikon
Sorry, but this'll be brief. I decided to try a Nikon after many, many years of Canon usage (still have several). This Nikon S6000 seemed like a lot of bang for the buck. My impressions so far: Pro's: Great pics, small size, easy to use, great macro, automatic scene selection, good focal length Con's: Power button too small, takes WAY too long to zoom after turning on, zoom is in large jerky steps so it's hard to find that "right" framing, poor battery/SD cover design - have to latch the door all the time (not spring loaded), flash use not always predictable in certain light. Would I buy it again? Probably not...YMMV

Fantastic Little Camera
I have been lugging around my big camera on vacations, and never brought it out otherwise as it was a pain to carry around. All my friends have compact digitals now and the picture quality has improved so vastly, that I finally bit the bullet and purchased this Nikon. Simple to use, great quality of photos and so wonderful to stick in my purse or pocket. We just returned from a vacation to Europe, and it was a dream to have a camera so small and lightweight. My photos were as good as a DSL camera my friend brought with. I am amazed and may never go back to using my bigger camera (except to a trip to see the polar bears this fall as I will definitely need the best zoom lens). I used to take so much time lining up the shoot, and here it was just point and click with awesome results. I highly recommend this camera to any novice or professional that needs a quick, small camera.

Very Pleased!
This camera just works! The last digital camera I purchased was approx 10 years ago and it lasted for about 6 years. I have been without a camera for 3-4 years. This camera is definitely a huge step up from 10 years ago. It is easy to point and shoot with the auto settings. Pictures and videos come out crisp and colorful. I can tell the picture and video quality is HD and I get a kick out of shooting small videos with sound with this camera. The compact size is a plus for me as well. I highly recommend this mid-grade Coolpix. I also purchased a 8GB memory card which seems to hold more pictures/videos than I would ever need since I constantly dump pictures from the camera into my well organized digital album located in my backup storage. I also purchased an extra USB cable so battery life is not a serious problem since I only take pictures casually.
