Love it!
This book is to the declutterer what prompts are to the writer. It gives you areas to work on, mostly in room-by-room form. Then it bullet points specific tasks for that room. Each task has a minimal but adequate explanation of how to execute that task. Just my style. Not too much, not too little. Enough structure to stay on task, or mention steps you might forget; but not rigid so you feel constrained by the detail. It is easy going, kind of a light and breezy tone, emphasizing your progress so you never feel like a failure or that you can't keep up. This is a novel approach compared to many, and i Love it.

Love the colorful arrangement
Awesome but have to find other ways to store my items, because they are well above my budget. Love the Netflix show

The MOST helpful book and the only thing that has helped me organize my home. ITS A MUST
This works as your organizational planner! And it is amazing! It has a page for every room and closet you could possibly have. It asks what you need to get rid of and you list the items.. then it asks how you could beautify the space, what you could add to the space for more storage room. And then the adjacent page actually gives you room to map out how you would like things and it gives you tips and advice To help you figure that part out. I absolutely could not have organized my home without it because by the time I read the other books and began I had forgotten what I was doing. But this breaks it down to your nightstand drawer! So you just go through and I did a page a day.. and already had what I needed for each room.. because I had my organized planner on how to organize!!!

5 Reasons to Buy!
I didn’t know if I wanted this book seeing so many bad reviews right away but I’m glad I got it, here’s why:1) Writing down goals and sketching spaces helps with the editing and organizing process. Going in without a plan is overwhelming and this breaks the process down into manageable steps.2) The book is setup with 52 challenges, so one for each week of the year, if you want to do it that way.3) There are a few key ideas (ie: what does the space need more / less of) that are repetitive as others mentioned but this is representative of the methods THE team uses and it helps in terms of writing down what applies to each space.4) The gold stars may sound stupid to some but it helps to mark each milestone as complete. You can flip through and see how much progress was made!5) Like others said this is setup like a journal and that isn’t bad. It’s cute, conversationally written, and hits on all of the major topics. It’s somewhat therapeutic to put it all down on paper.Overall, I felt like it was a good buy! I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I just don’t know how well this book will hold up over time and mine arrived with some imperfections. But for 60% off the list price, I’m glad I didn’t pass this up!

THE Workbook Needed When You Don't Know How to Start
If you are at all a fan of The Home Edit, either their Netflix show, their Instagram account, or any of their books, and you're wanting to give their method a try, you NEED to buy The Home Edit Workbook! It goes step by step through different rooms/areas of your house and walks you through how to edit out the clutter and organize the things you need and love. Most sections have an area with grid paper and explain how to draw out your space so you can organize and find containers that fit your space perfectly and will work for you and your family. Plus, no matter how well you think you do, you get to give yourself a gold star for trying!

Not what I expected
I loved watching The Home Edit on Netflix so I thought getting this book would help me keep my apartment clean and organized. The book though has pretty pictures, but it doesn't have enough detailed information for you to organized at all. Also there isn't any examples for the ones who visually absorb information like myself. I definitely returned it and found another book that was more detailed.
