Seems just as good as the name brand dough hook.
The photo taken of this dough hook makes it appear as if the hook is made thinner and less rugged than a Kitchenaid dough hook. This is not the case. I compared this with a Kitchenaid hook, side by side and they seemed equally as durable. I bought this hook since I never cared for the "power hook" that came with my mixer. This hook made the best pizza dough I think I have made with my mixer!

Returned this item. The enamel coating was chipped in numerous places. Not great for food production.
