How many do you get in this?

I have never counted how many individual anchovy but there are plenty. I used to buy 80g packs from fish monger at £3.75 each and on line they are more. The weight of this pack is 1kg so I get 12.5 x 80g portions out ! A lot cheaper, it does say once open to consume within two days but I have an anchovy pasta recipe for two persons which I cook each week and as the pack needs to be refrigerated I have not had a problem with them going off yet. Although fresh anchovies they are marinated in the oil.

Although they are cured in salt and marinated in sunflower oil, these are not the very salty ones that you get in a tin. They are often called White Anchovy Fillets, Fresh Anchovy Fillets or Boquerones. They have a delicate a savoury flavour. From GREAT BRITISH TRADING LIMITED.
