100 Piece Popcorn Scented Jigsaw Puzzle in Popcorn Storage Box

I love the premise of this puzzle and as an avid puzzler who is also an elementary teacher I thought this would be fun, and just the right amount of pieces to share with my 3rd-4th graders. It is not. The only image to work from is about 1.5”x1.5”. The edges are all uneven but I like that. After assembling the border, I got to work on the inside. There are only 4 types of piece shapes and pretty much you have to try every piece in every configuration in every spot to find the right one. There isn’t a picture to follow (I get that popcorn would be repetitive, but even to look at lights and darks between kernels in a picture might help) and with the pieces so similar, I had to methodically national row it down to those that fit better than the others and ultimately which one worked best. I was surprised that this took me a day to do it (I had anticipated maybe 10min) and I personally didn’t find it enjoyable. I did take a photo and print it out full-size to keep with it. I won’t be sharing it with my students, even my 12yo gave up are a few minutes.However, if you need to Zen and practice mindfulness/mindlessness, this just might be the puzzle for you.I realize I never mentioned the scent. I forgot because everything else was my focus. Anyway, it does smell like popcorn. And I’m glad it’s scratch and sniff, so it’s only when you want it.

Great idea for a puzzle

Bought for a gift for a jigsaw obsessed colleague! Boy did she laugh! Quirky jigsaw with a twist. Smaller than expected but I guess it's for kids!
