The most reliable tool
The media could not be loaded. This comb is just the thing I needed to undue my braids and detangle my hair. It's so much better than the traditional metal or plastic combs, which tend to pull on my hair and cause more damage. This comb is made of a sturdy strong wood with a smooth finish, allowing it to slide with ease through my hair. It doesn't matter the size or thickness of my braids, this combs still pierces right through the center of the ends of my hair and unravels each loop. It also came with a nice pouch. I'd highly recommend and purchase again, especially for ethnic, thick or coarse hair.

Love this item!
I am a natural woman with thick afro-textured hair. I love this tool because it makes parting my hair very easy without breakage. I don't like using regular combs- except for the afro pic. This is because combs break my fine strands even when parting because my hair is so voluminous it wraps around some portion of the comb regardless of its size. This parting tool effortlessly travels through my roots and as I slowly raise it up, its wooden texture allows my hair to glide by the teeth and not get snagged. This is a fantastic tool that I plan on using for a long time.Side note: This comb doesn't have pointy ends so it may not be ideal for precision parting, however, I have very thick hair and precision is not necessary for me because the parts end up covered anyway. If I choose to have a middle part it looks evenly parted and if there are any imperfections they do not show up in a drastic manner. I often wear my hair out and free- twistouts, braidouts, and the like. I only finger detangle my hair so this comb goes well with how I maintain my coils.

Beautiful BUT
This pick comb is so beautiful. It makes me feel like imI am not sure if it is the process or storage is responsible for this but product came with a strange tint or hue that smelled like mildew. like it was wet before and not completely dried then sent for storage? Maybe after the princess of being made it didn’t dry out all the way? Not sure. Beautiful looks just like the pic, sturdy, and authentic wood crafted, however I am nervous to try it in my hair because of this suspicious mold smell! If I can get it soaked and cleaned some kind of way I will because I want to use it!!Edit; Shortly after posting my review I soaked the comb in 1:5 Bleach:water mixture and let it soak for about 20 minutes. It’s very very durable it looked a little grey after the bleach soak but after using in my hair, I use oils like olive oil, it restored it to a beautiful mahogany color. It looks like polished oak! Smooth no splinters good for a scratch or massage or parting.I will be back for another .

This is so beautiful!
I'd ordered 1 from a small business site and it was a total disappointment. When I saw this 1 here on Amazon, it looked of a higher quality. Unfortunately, my initial order did not make it to me. Fortunately, the replacement arrived today & I am very pleased with the quality of this product. The wood is smooth and beautifully finished...no splinters to catch & rip the hair (unlike the one from that other site).I advise before using this pick (or any wooden pieces on the hair), to apply your favorite hair oil all over it. As you can see by my posted pictures, I really Iike using wood hair tools. I use a mix of jojoba and olive oils.To the person who posted the picture of that messed up comb, you know that you didn't get that from Plai Na....there's no way. That looks like the crap I received from that other website. Be honest...update your review.

Unfinished; Splinters
I was so excited for this parting comb but immediately noticed that the inside has not been finished and also had a few splinters. This is not safe, especially for scalp use and I will be sending back.
