Great lowtox spray, smells great! 5 Stars
Bought this for my husband to use after researching the best low toxic hair sprays for mens hair styling. He was using a different brand he loved (I think was a Crew spray or something similar) so I really wanted to find an alternative he would also love. This stuff smells amazing to me!!! I love it. Every time he uses it I tell him how much I love the smell. The smell doesn't last long though so once he leaves for the office, it's odorless which he likes. The only thing he didn't like about it was the sprayer which kept getting clogged (I now think this was because some spray would dry up in it) so he started putting the lid right back on it after every use and it fixed the problem, so that's no longer an issue! He said he uses less of this one than the previous stuff he was using. He just asked me to order him a second bottle (so I know he likes it a lot too!) - 1st bottle was delivered April 31st and I am ordering the 2nd bottle today which will deliver September 14th, that's 5.5 months per bottle and he uses this every day, after every shower so sometimes twice a day. Totally worth the price for us!

Clean Ingredients but Useless Malfuctooning Spray Bottle
Clean ingredients in cosmetics are important to me, so I chose this hair spray based on its rating on EWG's website. When i first started using it, I like it so much that I went ahead and ordered a second bottle. Now that second bottle is headed for the trash can along with 3/4ths of the original bottle. When I got down to where only about 1/4th of the bottle was used, the bottle started leaking and the sprayer quit working properly. Huge drops of spray started coming out and many landed on my clothing and the sink top. This is the second "clean" hairspray that has failed in a big way. Rather than waste any more money on useless products, I'm going back to the toxic drugstore brands. At least you get your money's worth out of them. I've attached a picture of the back of my hair after big globs of spray came out on it. This spray is completely useless.

Hairspray
This is the best hairspray I have ever used. Love the fact that it is organic and not loaded with harmful chemicals. Although it's a bit pricey, we'll worth it and doesn't irritate my scalp or have a strong smell. I freak out when I see it's out of stock and hope they never discontinue selling this on this site !

Sprayer clogs + it doesn't hold super great
I figured I could get around all the bad reviews about the leaky, clogged sprayer nozzle by rinsing it under warm water or scrubbing the tip with a spare tooth brush. That helps a little and I am still nursing it along after several weeks but it's no longer spraying where I'm aiming... and it now sprays with less consistency. Plus, it's now spraying small glops (along with some finer spray)... and mostly sideways. Ugh. I'm stubborn and I like the hairspray. Does a decent job of holding. I love that it's not toxic/bad for my hair and that's why I bought it. I might try buying a small pack of generic spray tips or use one from another brand to see if I can solve the problem. So far I haven't found anything better. Jury still out.

Good hold
Pretty good hold on my hair. Not real stiff. But it squirts all over my bathroom floor. I don't like that part. I had another organic hairspray & it did the exact same thing. I have to mop the floor after each use.

Love the product/Hate the bottle
My bottle sprayer broke after only using 1/10 of the bottle. It's expensive stuff and now I can't spray it out, so it's useless to me. Disappointed in that. I did love it while the bottle lasted. Although it sometimes would gum up the sprayer a bit, but I could always get it flowing after rinsing. Hoping the company will send me a replacement bottle to pour my remaining hairspray in.

Been Using this Hair Spray for about 7 Years
I have gluten and corn allergies. It blew my mind that so many products had both of these in them. With skin being the largest organ in your body, it absorbs the spray and causes your head to itch and skin to break out.I came across John Masters products about 7 years ago and have been using them since. I used to get them at Ulta, but found the hair spray harder to find. I have been getting it on Amazon ever since and found the hold to be excellent without that stiff look. It is natural and holds in places. I have never had a breakout or skin reaction. The hair spray is a bit more expensive, but one bottle will last me 2-3 months. I will gladly pay the extra not to have the issues I had in the past with other sprays. I have tried many others, and many others that claim to be organic, but then the itching and irritation would break out. So now I stick with JM only.

Not good for fine/thin hair
I've been searching for a clean organic hairspray for a while now. While this was better than some, it definitely didn't fit the bill for me. Because my hair is on the fine/thin side, and very soft, it needs something with decent hold to stay in place. But it also gets weighed down easily, which is why the light, even misting you can achieve with aerosol sprays has been my go-to in the past. This product has a very heavy and difficult-to-control spray. Even when spraying it farther away from my head, it made my hair look greasy and clumpy (and somehow also frizzy) with just a few spritzes. The hold is very minimal. On the plus side, the scent is good and not too strong. As with most all-natural sprays it seems, this might be ok for someone with thicker hair that doesn't need much hold. For me, it's back to my trusty Kenra hairspray until I can find a natural product that actually works for fine hair.Oh and apparently this item also cannot be returned - strange because other products from the John Masters shop are returnable. They conveniently don't indicate that anywhere during the purchase process, so beware of buying this if you aren't sure you'll actually use it.
