Splaks2-Line Engineering Scientific Calculator LED Display Function Calculator Suitable for School Business (2pack)

I was an accountant and budget analyst for 40 years so numbers are a part of my DNA. Even in retirement, I'm constantly monitoring my bank accounts on a daily basis and I have to have a hand held calculator that I know is consistently dependable. The "Splaks" calculators are exactly that, dependable. They perform multiple functions perfectly and they have a great "number display" that's very easy to read. I highly recommend these calculators for all of your accounting needs.

I bought this as the two pack that is supposed to come with two of the same calculators but in different colors. The two are very similar, but NOT the same. The solar panels on the black one work well, so you really don't need to put in a battery. The solar panels on the silver one however are pretty pathetic right out of the box, and you have to be in VERY bright, constant light to get it to turn on (and stay on). I wasn't too concerned because I thought I would just pop a AA battery into it and move on. The silver one, unlike the black, does NOT have an off switch, but unlike what some reviewers are not pointing out it does have an "auto off " feature. The black one, which really doesn't need a battery, does have an off switch. One other thing, the rubber pads on the bottom do not have much grip, so as you are pushing keys it does slide a little.Bottom line, the two pack is not that much of a bargain if all of the silver ones have poor solar panels like mine. Many will be better off by just buying the black version, which I feel is fine for the money.

Bought this calculator for a professional licensing exam I was taking where they are VERY strict on what you can take into the exam, ie no phones or calculators with a memory function. Also I wanted something to toss in the home desk drawer that was easier to read, enter numbers on and that the kids could use compared to the iPhone. I like the size of the keys, easy to one hand entry, like how legible the screen is, that it is lite yet stays in place with the rubber feet, and durable enough to toss in a briefcase and that it is dual power.If you are looking for something for your kids or just a simple easy to read desk calculator this one is hard to beat.

I needed to replace a simple desktop calculator that would work without having to be under the desk lamp and this is fine. Takes one AA battery. Clear digital readout and goes up to 12 digit screen. This also has a button new to me: it allows you to remove the last digit, say if you mistakenly hit the last number twice or if the calculation gives you too much detail. So if the calculation reads 2345.678, you can hit this arrow button and it will read 2345.67.

We thought we would be getting two calculators that would be the same but that was not the case, instead we got two calculators that are different. One has an OFF button that the other DOES NOT have the OFF button. We believe that this was very miss leading by the company Splaks and also maybe Amazon.

This is an excellent product for a great price. Works very well. 12 Digits, a correct key to backspace and remove errors, large keys, a tilted face for comfortable viewing, and all the basic functions. Nothing extra you don't need for basic math functions. I would buy from this company again and recommend them highly. Very fast shipping, the item was packed very well in a strong protective cardboard box with the basic instructions for using memory, and an email address for communication if needed. The unit worked well but the battery cover was a little raised, so it did not sit flush against the back of the unit. It held the battery well so no real issue there. I'm not sure why this happened but this warped or incorrectly shaped plastic was a quality control issue for sure. Nothing I couldn't live with but it wasn't right I emailed the company and received a very prompt response from Michael. Michael immediately shipped out another unit and I received it within days. Excellent! That's customer service and I did not have to return the 1st unit. The new unit works very well and the battery cover fits very nicely as it should. A fantastic experience working with Michael and his company. If there's something else I want or need from this company, I will not hesitate in buying from them again.

I bought these calculators for students to use in my classroom. I love the fact that they are stable on the desk, tilted to reduce glare, solar-powered, and have big buttons. I also really like the replay button where you can see what you typed in. That's a neat feature. The only drawback is that it doesn't automatically do order of operations. You need to be strategic about how you type in numbers. Because there are no parentheses, you may have to do multiple steps. I didn't even put any batteries in and they work just fine with my fluorescent lights.

i bought two of these, about 2 months apart. at first they were fine, but within a couple of months, one started giving me crazy answers to every calculation, part of the time-- other times, it would function fine. utterly undependable. the other one (which i bought for a friend) started within weeks giving her a display with only half of the numbers there; the top part of the number display was gone. this was also intermittent, but most often there. don't buy this calculator!
