I purchased this to replace the return pump in the sump of my 125 gallon salt water tank. It has a compact foot print, is powerful and quite at the same time, and extremely easy to set up. I also like the fact that it came with two different inlet filters and various sized outlet nozzles. It made customization for my set up much easier. Overall I would highly recommend based upon initial set up and evaluation.

I got the 1200gph pump for a 55 gallon tank. The pump is set to lvl 1 of 20 which is about 30% and it has plenty of flow and I literally cannot hear the pump. I can only hear the water in the pipes. It's an insane bargain if the pump lasts long. I made my own cannister filter with a 5gal bucket and it works very well with this pump.

Update!! The pump quit working 2 weeks after the return date to send it back to Amazon. I have checked everything there is to check. I had such high hopes for this pump. It seems very well made. I have installed this pump on a home made solar heater for my pool. It installed fairly easy although because the unit came with only one each of 3 different size barbs. I required 2 of the same so I needed to make a run to the hardware store for modification parts. Modification was easy and had it up and running in no time. The pump moves water from the pool thru 200 ft of black poly tubing with a max lift of about 5 feet. I find there is very little difference between the 1 and 20 settings but the flow is adequate for my requirements. Now I wait for the test of longevity. Fingers crossed!

I was blown away by the build quality of this pump, I was not expecting something quite this nice. It has several accessories for different pick ups. This is fully controllable and would be a great pump for a stump return or even a pond. The controllability is a great feature that I enjoyed. As far as the wave maker feature I’m not sure how that would turn out in a sump but it would be nice to alternate flows automatically. Great pump

First, this thing runs well, I wanted a pump that had a wave function so I went with this. Maybe some of my problems with this thing is my own fault and trusting a manufacturer to make a quality product with some common sense in mind. The problem with this pump is it defaults to MAX when the power resets. A brown out is when the power flickers on and off....VERY common is the united states because our infrastructure sucks ass. Get a brown out, this thing is going 100%. The common sense thing is it should be at the lowest setting when restarting to keep the water circulating and it can be resetting. I had a tang and dwarf angel beaten to death today because of a stupid as function that makes no sense while I was at work. If you buy this thing, shell out an extra $50 for a battery backup cause you'll regret not having it eventually. Or just buy a better pump....or an old school pump from your LFS that just works.

This water pump is being used outside for a fountain. It has great flexibility. You can adjust the water flow to several different levels. Best pump for almost every application. It is heavy duty and very quiet.

So the overall construction is good. But I had to return it twice because the size was not as described. It is easily twice the size that is stated in the description. It's more than 5” long it's almost 8” with almost 5” and so is the height. It's much bigger than what it states.

The second we put it in and started working and it seems to work a lot more powerful than our last one which was three times the price

No issues hooked up in 15 min and so far has worked perfectly in my reefer 350 .

Use this as the pump in my sump for my turtle. Work well.

Order to use for a mixing station on my saltwater tank. Opener the box and instantly my entire house stunk like rotten food or waste. The impeller was coated in something that absolutely stunk. Also product only comes with 3 nozzle ends for hoses and 1 seal for the screw ends. Would be impossible to not leak outside of the tank. Returning it. Stick with Jabeo.
