I’ve tried using compatible filters for my Philips coffee maker in the past, but they never work as well or last as long as this one. The Philips AquaClean filter is definitely the best option. I don’t drink coffee too often, so the filter lasts a good amount of time for me. However, I recommend removing it occasionally to rinse it. After sitting in water for a while, it can accumulate some residue, which might just be due to my water quality or coffee maker. One small issue I’ve noticed is that after cleaning the water compartment and reinserting the filter, the coffee maker doesn’t let water flow for brewing. I’ve found that running the hot water setting from a separate spout on my machine helps release any trapped air and resolves the problem. Once that’s done, everything works perfectly again. Despite this minor hiccup, I’m very happy with the filter—it’s reliable and keeps my coffee tasting great while reducing the need for frequent descaling. Highly recommend sticking to the original for peace of mind!
