Perfect size wok
This wok is expensive but it is the only stainless steel wok with an aluminum core that was big enough to keep food from going over the edges while stir frying. It has a very small flat bottom on the exterior but completely rounded bottom on the inside like a traditional wok. It says it will work for induction but because of its shape I think you need a gas burner for it to work well. It is very attractive and well made with a good but not excessive weight to it. It is 5 ply with 3 aluminum cores that go all the way up the sides. The 15 inch size is really nice. I have been using a Faberware stainless steel wok for a number of years but it is too small at 12 inches. The 15 inch size is a big improvement. In the larger sizes you can only get a carbon steel wok or a thin stainless steel one without an aluminum core. As far as I can tell this is the only 15 inch wok available with an aluminum core. Actually 3 aluminum cores which makes it conduct heat efficiently. I think to really do stir fry you need a wok at least this size. Being stainless steel it is easy to maintain. It is very attractive and heavy duty. It looks good hanging up in your kitchen. I am happy with it.

Excellent durable nice size wok!!
Very nice wok and very large, even though you only use one burner on your gas or electric stovetop. This was a gift I purchased for my granddaughter & her fiance. They love to cook, so I saw this was made by Mitch inside & the stainless steel heating element, so after checking out other reviews, I bought this. It is very durable. She told me I was crazy to spend so much, however I didn't think so. This is a very good quality wok that should last a very long time if taken care of properly. They're happy so I'm happy!!😊

I like it more everytime I cook with it!
I've been using a cheaper, non-stick type wok with a flat bottom. This Kitchen Aid 15 inch wok is MUCH better! The 5 layer construction with the aluminum core is deceptively heavy and heats evenly all the way up the sides. The wok is beautiful to look at...the outside looks like a mirror. When I first got it, after washing, I heated it slowly and applied some cooking oil with a paper towel, letting cool slowly. First time I used it, I made fried rice and had some issues with the egg getting cooked onto the surface. It cleaned up but I had to use soap & water to get it cleaned. I continued warming the wok and lightly oiling it after each use. Each time I've used it (and re-seasoned it), it seems to have less problems with sticking and the cleanup is easier. Last use, I made a sticky beef recipe. I was able to clean it this time with just spraying it with hot tap water, wiping it dry with at towel and heating/re-oiling the pan. I also bought a "Lodge" brand 15" glass lid and it works perfectly on the wok! The price is about equal to a high end, carbon steel wok but without all of the hassles and seasoning issues. I can't say enough good things about it! Hard to beat Kitchen-Aid products. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Beautifully made!
I really love this pan! I got rid of all of my non-stick cookware because of how bad it is for us and switched to stainless. I purchased this pan to go with a full set I bought. It's really heavy and you can tell it's a well made item! I've used it multiple times and it cooks beautifully. I don't use metal utensils and I clean it while it's still hot after cooking and it looks the same as the day I received it. If you are new to stainless steel cooking, make sure you heat the pan on medium heat for 4-5 minutes before putting anything in it. If you cook with salt, it can leave a white stain in the pain but don't panic! Simply wipe the stain with a mixture of white vinegar and water until the stains come out and then clean with soap and water. Also, never heat cold water with salt as it can cause pitting, heat water first and add salt after its hot. Also only use a non-scratch sponge. If you properly maintain your pan, it will stay beautiful for years to come!
