Brother CS5055 Computerized Sewing Machine, 60 Built-in Stitches, LCD Display, 7 Included Feet, White

This Brother CS5055 Sewing Machine was just was I was looking for. Although the setup is different than my old machine, I didn't find it difficult to learn. I've made several items already and am happy with the stitch quality and the ease of use. I am looking forward to using all of the many stitch options. For the price, it feels like quality and has a lot of stitch choices.

This thing has been great for me. It's tackled everything from the upholstery on a whole set of dining room chairs to dresses for my daughter and so many hems. It's super easy to use, strong enough to go through six layers of denim. No complaints at all.

Sewing machine arrived on time, packaged well and intact. I got it for my grand daughter’s birthday and she is thrilled. It’s a perfect machine for a beginner. Easy to set up and get started and very beginner friendly. She is 14, never sewed on a sewing machine and she picked it up very quickly. The machine has some nice options without being too advanced or overwhelming for a beginner.

This sewing machine is awesome. I am a beginner and this machine is so easy to thread, filling the bobbin. The directions that come with it are confusing so I you tube the model number and get all the help I need. Love this machine!

I'm not sure if this is the latest model, because I used the instruction video to figure out how to thread it, there was another one that seemed to have more buttons. The jury is still out on the quality of the sewing machine, it is quiet, and the speed is fine. The machine is very lightweight in size and easy to carry and maneuver around. Variety of stitch options that I haven't used yet. I haven't decided if it's worth the value yet, that would depend on how long it lasts. I'm using it to sew up all the fabric I have and to resize clothes that a too large to wear since I've lost a significant amount of weight. Functional as a sewing machine does, although it is weird to use technology with a sewing machine, but it's an adventure. The value for the money is pending, will depend on how it lasts without any malfunctions or breakdowns. I would advise anyone to closely inspect machine upon arrival, make sure you have the latest model, I did not do this, I've just started using it after having it for four months.

I love this machine! I have had no issues at all and whenever I’ve had things occur due to my own sewing ignorance, this machine has been super easy to work through. This is my first sewing machine and I’ve learned to sew for the past month with it. It’s a wonderful beginner machine. Plenty of YouTube and TikTok videos using this machine to help as well. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money in case I didn’t stick with it. Turns out I love sewing and I have a feeling this machine is gonna be with me for several years. I’ve already completed close to 20 projects. I included pics of some of my projects so you can see the varying things I was able to make as a beginner with this machine. If you’re thinking about it, get it! It’s a great machine!

first time sewing machine and it seems to work fine, good for beginners. there is a strange sound it's making which i don't really know what it's from and the bottom bobbin seems like it isn't holding the thread correctly but that could somehow be user error. bought it when it was priced about $150 which I'd say is definitely worth it. I've finished a few projects so far and it's pretty user friendly with it being computerized. many stitch options but honestly I probably won't end up using most of them. has an automatic threader which I don't use but could be useful for someone else who has trouble. comes with extra bobbins, extra feet, and some needles. there's a small sliding storage (which is where the extras are if you can't find them) on the machine itself which i also don't use because I don't like that things just rattle around in there so I keep everything in a separate case. cords disconnect and it's decently light so it's good for travel.

Es buena y bonita, para trabajos de costura caseros. Sí eres principiante en la costura te será muy buena opción, si has trabajado en máquinas más industriales la sentirás muy ligera y un poco insuficiente y hasta incómoda, ya que al ponerse sobre una mesa, ésta se mueve mucho, lo mismo con el pedal, que al ser pequeño se está recorriendo muy seguido. No es veloz, se tiene que cocer a una velocidad lenta. Pero aún así es buena. Ésta es mi experiencia ya que como pespuntador de chamarras de piel, sí sentí una gran diferencia con las otras máquinas de mesa y es entendible e inevitable la comparación.

I have used this machine for over a year, it has lots of stitching options, very easy to use, durable and light, my child knocked it off the kitchen table and still works great.

I am really impressed with the use of use of this machine. The setup instructions from winding the bobbin, to threading the needle are clear, precise and easy to follow. The machine itself is very quiet in operation, though when matching some thicker fabric / many layers, it gets a little clunky, but keep in mind this isn’t an industrial machine therefore not a slight on the machine. The foot pedal is easy to operate, though I wish there was a little more resolution for the input. There are a number of different stitch patterns to choose from and the presser foot selection indicator on the screen is a great addition. One gripe I do have is the thread seems to frequently pull itself out of the eye of the needle between garments, I do try to be careful and ensure both threads are out the back of the machine, but it happens quite frequently, I guess more practice needed.
