The collection of musical instruments for my grandkids needed some choices that will last a longer and look more authentic than the large number of plastic or dollar store variety items. Both the rhythm sticks and the shaker eggs feel completely smooth and fit into preschool and adult hands easily. The wood material used in both percussion instruments will allow them to be used for years. The set came with a well-made drawstring bag for storage, but mine will go into the instrument bin and I’ll probably use the bag for something else!

I'm a musician myself and bought it for my 10 month old. The sound is very good. Not too high pitched, but more of a natural wood sound.
