Techno Source Illuminated Touch Screen Sudoku Puzzle Game

I do not know anything about Sudoku. My wife had a similar unit that she played to death. She has been using the printed books since, so I thought I'd find her another electronic unit. It arrived today and she is very happy about it. This unit is somewhat larger than her previous one, and the screen lights up nicely for her. Her main wish tonight is to have dinner, get into her pajamas, get comfortable, and play a few games. She loves her Sudoku. I'm happy for her. :)

Would give this a 0 star if I could. Game screen is so small would be almost impossible to use. Don't know how the seller can get away with such a discrepancy in the size of this game. The screen size was only about 2 x 2.5 in. The size of the whole unit is no where near 4x9, the package isn't even 9 in long. I received in an almost destroyed plastic packaging, yellowed from age/or sun, and all cracked, looked as though had already been opened. I didn't even try to use this because of the size. Very disappointing. Immediately returned.

The product shown in this photo is not what I ordered. The item I received has the switch on the top side and comes with a white stylus, which is what I wanted and I love it. The one in the picture uses 2032 batteries and is not illuminated, making it difficult to see. The illuminated one has a white stylus, a switch at the top end and uses AAA batteries. That is the one you want. They are both made by Techno Source and I have both. Avoid the one with the switch on the bottom face like the one shown.

This is my 2nd one of this Sudoku game and it's enjoyable and durable The only problem is small, but aggravating. It involves the difficulty of changing the batteries. The screw to open the battery compartment is tiny and nearly impossible to get to and turn. Instruction says to use phillips head screwdriver but the screw head is flat so a phillips won't go into it. Straight screwdrivers don't seem to work either, even the tiny ones used for eyeglasses repair. It's highly doubtful that the normal household would have a tool that will work for this screw removal.Batteries have to be changed fairly often, so this is a recurring problem. Mine is not useable now since the batteries need replacing but I'm unable to open the compartment to change them. It's a shame, because other than that it's a great product but it's a shame this issue hasn't been addressed in at least 4 years since I had the same problem with my original one.

This is an update on this product. This was the third game that I bought. The first game lasted me about 3 years and I absolutely loved it. Then it stopped working. I bought a replacement. This game lasted me for about a year before it stopped working. I bought another replacement and it was delivered on Sept. 21, 2015. As others complained, it is really hard to differentiate between the cells so I got a marker and drew like a tic-tac-toe to be able to play it. I only play one game per day. I haven't even changed the batteries yet and now this game is giving me problems. After turning on, it doesn't give you any options of games so I turn it off and on again and it does. I start playing the game and after awhile, it closes the game and asks you to choose the amount of players and level to start a new game. Then you start all over again with a new game and it shuts down even faster. The game is no good anymore and I only played 70 games on it total. Don't waste your money on this game!

I bought this game 3 weeks ago and I am not one to write reviews so with that said I will tell you the good and bad.Some numbers are hard to differentiate, like 1 and 7, also the quadrants are hard to tell where they start and end. But the biggest problem is the batteries that don't seem to last more than a few days, though I play all day long at work. My solution and advice to you is get rechargeable batteries. It will be cheaper to get the rechargeable batteries and charger than keep on buying AAA batteries.When you start having trouble seeing the screen it's probably time to change batteries.I was actually using the game on my phone but I kept on using to much data.

This is a fun and challenging game that provides hours of entertainment.

I researched several sites for one of these games as a gift for a friend. This illuminated, touch screen game has two levels, beginner and advanced with several levels within each of those. Plus you have the option of adding more games you already have on hand. The opportunity for endless games is awesome. This was simple to operate too. She LOVES this Sodoku Puzzle Game!
