Angler's Choice TBL-095 9.5-Inch, Push/Pull Hook Remover

I love love love this tool. This item works so well my neighbors call it the magic dehooker tool. I actually bought this one as a gift for my neighbors after they saw me using mine. Works perfectly every time. The only reason I say nearly flawless is that the shaft gets rusty very quickly. Hint hint, maybe use stainless in the future.

I work as ship's mate aboard a charter fishing vessel in Cape Cod, MA. That means I spend my days (among other duties) getting fish off of people's hooks. It also means that I NEED equipment that works flawlessly and never fails. Simply put, this item does exactly that! It's simple, rugged design leaves nothing that can break or malfunction and there is NO better method for quickly and safely unhooking a fish while minimizing the risk of harm to the animal. If it works this well for me in heaving October seas to safely (for me and the fish) unhook an angry, 24" tautog then I have no reason to believe it won't do likewise for you.

Works well, especially on larger hooks. A little challenging on Sabiki rigs and small hooks. Seems to rust quickly from saltwater so quick attention to this will keep it nice. Otherwise is solid and well made.

This is a great product. It safely removes hooks from fish without harming them. Every angler should have one.

I've used these with success for everything from small catfish to large sharks. I wish the rod was a tiny bit stronger because it's bent from use.

Perfect form factor, and works easily...but started rusting within a few days. Rusting got so bad it leaving a mark in the slot holder. they need to upgrade to 316 SS or better.

Works fantastic and the handle its very strong

It is very good for returning short fish to the sea. You won't get stuck by the sharp spines on sea bass & porgies. You can more quickly return to fishing for big ones.
