Mother Earth Products Freeze Dried Raspberries, 3 oz

Adding freeze dried raspberries really packs a flavor punch without adding the moisture of the fruit. These worked perfect in my raspberry chocolate tart and they crush up easily for decorating too!

Received the item-it was bouncing around in a box which resulted in a lot of powder rather than berries. Decided to try anyway as it wasn't that bad. Opened the lid to find the container unsealed and the product moldy. Returned and will find another company to purchase from.

I didn't even know Raspberries were available freeze dried. But a recipe called for them and I found these Mother Earth raspberries. I was so excited I popped one in my mouth. Whoa! Intense flavor. Great. I can hardly wait to make this cake and see how the raspberries add not only the color - but the flavor needed. I also like that these came in a clear plastic jar. I will put what I don't use in a smaller air tight container. This is a quart container, but the weight is 3 oz. I need 1.2 oz and have a kitchen scale so that's not a problem.

I LOVE the INTENSITY of freeze-dried stuff...Imo, often, BETTER than the fresh... Easier to handle / store / access -- NO MESS...Freeze-dried stuff has:* only NATURAL sugars; NO preservatives/other chemicals...* slightly less calorie count (same rehydrated volume)...* no / limited spoilage / storage issues-problems / more convenient / easier to handle...

So, to my surprise I really like these. they did however come in a little jar that is a powdery mess like other pictures posted. I looked at it trying to decide if I should send it back or just try it, well I tried it and really like them. be careful because the powdery stuff will get everywhere. there may have been a couple berries that (look as if) that they have possible mold but it is very hard to even find a good box of fresh berries at the regular grocery store. so anyways its my new favorite snack and im going to try their other fruits now.

The value is okay, but worth it. They are light and crispy, fresh and great flavor. I bought them to bake with, but I ended putting them in my smoothie's, my Special K, oats, and even on my dark chocolate bark. This is my third purchase. I will continue to buy. I may get strawberries too. Edit: mine came crushed to powder this time because Amazon put it in an unpadded envelope. Beware!! Let seller know.

I LOVE RASPBERRIES! This is the perfect way to have them on hand ALL THE TIME, without having them go bad! A new staple in our kitchen! I am incorporating raspberries into everything now! Omg! Oatmeal, tea, ice cream, not to mention every time I have a sweet tooth- bam! Open the canister to have a sweet, tart and crunchy HEALTHY snack!!! Even the KIDS love them!

I crush them onto my cereal. Just three berries is enough to turn the milk pink and add a pleasingly tart flavor that reminds me of fresh berries from the bushes in my parents' backyard. I don't reconstitute them -- if I wanted the texture of fresh berries, I would buy fresh berries. These are more of a flavoring.
