Good pad .
After doing a practice hike and staying the night in a tent for the first time in 14 years I decided that at the old age of 34 sleeping on the ground resulted in NO sleep . Now with a 50 mile 6 day hike a month away I was worried , and my husband decided he had to fix the problem . He ordered two of these . They saved the trip ! I was actually able to sleep a few hours each night . I will say I wish they were a little wider , my husbands arms hung off his if we didn't put ours together . At 6'2 and 185 pounds this was not expected . My 5'9 165 pounds fit perfectly . Also wish it had a small hand pump or was self inflating like others . When your at 14000 feet elevation blowing it up was a bit rough .

I wish it were bright yellow, for no special reason.
Very comfortable. Other reviews state that the trade off is that it's a bit heavy for long distance backpacking but I don't care...I want comfort, so if total pack weight is an issue, I cut down somewhere else (less cheese, no tripod). A good night's sleep after many miles on the trail is worth an additional carrying pound. Inflating the pad is quick and gives me time to reflect on my breathing and why lungs are important. I am unsure about the durability, considering it's almost an air mattress (no insult intended), so it's on the tent floor only, not used as a backrest against a log in camp. This model is just a bit narrow for my liking, but I still can't bitch about it. Considering the weight and the comfort on my 60 year-old bones, I think it's a winner.

Heavenly comfort and warmth at a great price and less than 1.5 pounds.
SOO comfortable! It packs down small and weighs less then 1.5 pounds, but I'm more comfortable sleeping on the neoAir camper than I am in my own bed at home! The price is great at 100 and if you can get it at the amazon sale price of 75 (like i did - go me!) that's amazing.Sleeping bags don't slip off the top. The regular size (20 inches by 6 feet) is really comfortable and plenty for me (5'10").Only tiny gripe, not even big enough to deduct half a star: If you're not careful with the valve when the thing is blown up all the way and the pressure is high, air will slip out and you won't have the firmest possible mattress. I quickly got the hang of keeping the valve in my mouth between breaths and pressing it down while I screwed it closed.

I would recommend this mattress for campers that don't need their supplies ...
I had bought this mattress to take on a motorcycle trip. We needed our supplies to be small to fit. This did pack up very small, however it isn't a self inflating mattress, so you need an air pump. The air pump takes up a lot of room. I thought I had bought a self inflating mattress, that was my mistake. I seen the little air way on the end and was assuming it self inflated. Anyway, I would recommend this mattress for campers that don't need their supplies packed small. Also, this mattress can be a little uncomfortable. But I think if you don't air it up all the way it might feel more comfortable. That would be the consumers choice on what they prefer.

Should I Try It Again?
I had a very positive experience on a NeoAir which I borrowed and used last year and purchased one, however it did not hold air and I returned it. When it worked I would rate it 5 stars, VERY comfortable. But after having purchased a dud I'm reluctantly considering buying a 2nd one to see if I fair any better...perhaps I got a lemon? I was very careful with my use of the one that I had purchased, so I highly doubt there was a puncture, but I could not find where the leak was.Appreciate any suggestions folks might offer. Perhaps are there other air mattresses with better track records for holding air? Should I stick with NeoAir?

Highly Recommended! (especially for side sleepers)
This is by far the best thermarest I have owned. It offers a good combination of features. It is thicker than many other thermarest models and yet it still packs into a very small pouch. It is quite reasonable for backpacking in terms of weight and size. It feels durable and I have not had any issues with leaks. This is not a self inflating mattress which saves on extra material and weight and yet only takes a minute or two to inflate. I am a side sleeper and I have found this to be the most comfortable mattress out of about five other thermarests I have slept on. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

Worth it!
Completely inflates in 20 breathes (25 if I'm winded after a long hike.) I have always had back/neck problems but love camping so much that I'll suffer through it for the chance to wake up in the great outdoors. I took this on a 3 night trip the weekend after I purchased it, and I woke up every morning feeling like I'd slept in my own bed! It might be a little heavier than my other backpacking pad, but I feel like the weight is worth the trade-off of a good night's sleep. I've used it on half a dozen trips so far, and couldn't be happier.

Works great, comfy for me if you lay on your back. I'm 5'10" 155 I would recommend the larger one, I got regular. I fit, but no wiggle room.I have slept on this for over 60 days as I used it to sleep outside at my home in the country ,so I can look up at the stars. I also used it on RAGBRAI it's a bike ride across Iowa, for a week and it packed up nice and small. Easy to fit in the bag, so you don't have to be the greatest packer.

Overwhelmingly pleased!
I wasn't sure if I should buy this or the even thinner and lighter NeoAir xLite, which at the time was significantly more expensive.I am glad I opted for the heavier version as it adds that extra bit of comfort for the compromise - And its not even that much heavier! It is however, about twice the size when packed, so that is a consideration to take into account. It inflates really quick, with about 20-25 blows. I'm not the fittest guy, so that can probs be beaten fairly easily lol.Once inflated it holds its air through the night and its easy to top up and then fully deflate as necessary.I chose the regular size, over the 'extra large' which probs would have been more suitable for me (6ft 4) and 'fat'. However, I tend to sleep on my side, so the width issue is not a concern of mine - On the occasion where I rolled onto my back, my arms were hanging over the sides.I am otherwise super pleased and greatly appreciate adding this to my base collection of must haves for camping.

Excellent for base camp or backpacking
Very comfortable and packs to a very decent small size. As an owner of several Therm-a-Rest mats this is the perfect balance between base camp comfort and backpacking size/weight (some can be too thin after a hard day in the hills/mountains!!)

Great ground clearance
Finally as a side sleeper my bones are no longer pressing into the ground. The quality seems great, I like the colour and I do not find the mat noisy to sleep on. I would choose the large size instead of the regular if I had the chance again to get a little more width, but the pack size of the regular is lovely.

Just an expensive lilo but lightweight and compact package
Was hoping for something special because it costs so much more but it's just a typically unstable air mattress overpriced lilo.- lightweight and compact why is the package size not quoted I might have bought the L if I'd known

BRILLIANT!
I did A LOT of research and chose this one on the end because I'm a side sleeper. I wanted something easy to put up without the need of a pump, be lightweight, comfy and good quality. This fits the bill perfectly. I'm very pleased indeed!
