HydroJug Half-Gallon Water Bottle

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! I have has 3 of these now and after about 2 weeks of using it and proper care (hand washing) the seal falls out. This product is a smart concept but terrible quality. I am very displeased! Gave them too many chances. :(

This water bottle claims to be leakproof but it is a lie. I bought 2, one from their website and one from Amazon and both leak from the top when they tip over even slightly, when your walking, and when your drinking.I love the concept, the handle and pop top is so nice, but the execution is terrible.HydroJug, change your design!

I bought this as a replacement for my fiancé. She dropped her first one off the treadmill at the gym, and it busted on the carpet. No big deal.She’s had this one for a week and this morning leaving for work, it fell out of the car (about 2’ max) and shattered.The first incident was somewhat understandable, but this one was too much. Hydrojug offered to replace it if we paid shipping. We are going to take it, but will also look at other products.Two thumbs down.

LOVED this product at first. It helped me hold myself accountable for my water intake. Unfortunately about two weeks into my first bottle the cap for the spout started the bend and eventually broke on one side. I loved the product so much I decided to buy a new one. By a month in seal on the lid starting leaking and made it impossible for me to drink without spilling water all over me. I wish hydrojug would make the products a little more durable since it is pretty expensive for a water bottle with no insulation. I’ve learned my lesson and have found a more durable product for half the cost.

This is my husband's second hydrojug. First one fell from his desk onto carpet and bottom shattered. He purchased a second one and within 3 weeks the lid broke. The part that pops up to allow you to drink broke off inside the drinking spout - and no, it wasn't dropped. Just poor craftsmanship or cheap plastic I guess. Tried to write to the company to get a new lid, but they do not respond. I feel this company does not care about their product or their customers. Sad because we actually had many people from our gym order from them. We will no longer carry around their jugs and advertise for them.

There is a rubber gasket that must fit snuggly on the inside of the lid. If it is slightly off or stretched in any way, then serious leakage occurs. I bought two others, and they’re fine, which is why the 3 star review. If I had bought just this one, it would have resulted in a 1-star review. I don’t know if a replacement is possible.

So for starters, the bottle is HUGE. My previous bottle was 2.2 liters and it wasn’t as big. It’s still a nice bottle though but I’d recommend in purchasing a hydro sleeve or carrier (you can but it from their website). I was also sent the wrong color (I ordered peach and got coral) but I’m keeping it as I already used it and just thought the coloring from the image was super off. Other than that I’d recommend it.

Way too expensive for this water container. Thin plastic but holds a lot of water for the exerciser.
