Chewtab Advanced Whitening Toothpaste Tablets with Nano-Hydroxyapatite 180 Count Refill (Peppermint)

These tabs are easy to use, taste good, and have a good foaminess that keeps the toothpaste in the mouth, unlike other nano-hydroxyapatite products I've used that tend to run out/drip through the small holes in my Oral-B sensitive gum electric toothbrush heads. The only very minor downside is that you have to chew the tab thoroughly before you start brushing, which takes 10ish seconds. Other positives are 1) the product packaging, which is recyclable or compostable (container is cardboard, bag is compostable corn-based plastic) unlike pretty much every other toothpaste that comes in a non-recyclable plastic tube and 2) Can be carried in an airline carry-on without worrying about the 100ml/3.4oz liquids limit. I put enough tabs for my trip in a small pill bottle. Lastly, if like me you're a craft (snob) coffee drinker and brush your teeth first thing in the morning, the residual watermelon flavor will not mess with the taste of the coffee, unlike mint-flavored toothpastes.

So I’ve got these bad boys on subscription at this point. Definitely purchased multiple times. We tried several other brands - they all sucked. These were the winners by a LANDSLIDE. They don’t taste weird or leave any sort of weird taste or feeling in my mouth. Quick, convenient and the least messy tooth paste to ever exist. They also couldn’t be more travel friendly. Now, I have genetically STRONK teefs, however my partner does not. He always used sensodyne? Or other similar tooth pastes. Since we’ve been using these - he doesn’t have any issues anymore + actually hasn’t had any new cavities (may not necessarily be related) - but as a control - I’ve never had a cavity at 36 years old and my dentist + the hygienist were honestly shocked. So we can say for sure that switching to these also does not make you more susceptible to cavities. I also like that after brushing with these, food / drinks don’t taste weird (I think because they don’t have SLS?)

I've been using these toothpaste tablets for a couple years now and ill never go back to regular toothpaste. I get the exact amount I need. Easy for travel. The taste is refreshing. My teeth got whiter using them. I love that theres no fluoride and it's hydroxyappetite. It's safe for my family and that's all that matters.

If you're anything like me, and ordered these as a ecofriendly alternative, you may be disappointed. I do love that the refill comes in a carboard container with biodegradable pouches for each month's supply, but any efforts to avoid the platic toothpaste tube is counteracted by the fact that Amazon ships this little cardboard box in a big plastic envelope. The product itself is great - convenient for travel and leaves my teeth feeling clean. Shipment materials just leave much to be desired.

I was reading a book called "Your Inner Fish" by Neil Shubin and around chapter 4 he started talking about hydroxyapatite in teeth and bones. I searched the web to see if I was pronouncing it right and quickly fell down a rabbit hole about toothpaste and calcium supplements. I wanted to try out a toothpaste that contained hydroxyapatite but most were so expensive it didn't seem worth it just to try something different. When I came across this I thought it looked cool and it was only like $25.00 for a 90 day supply. Pros: 1. Inexpensive for a nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste 2. Very compact I included photographs with a quarter for scaling. It comes in a very tiny cardboard box with 3 non-resealable bags of 60 tablets. The shipping box was only slightly larger and no packing materials to deal with, which is awesome. 3. Great flavor... I 'm just happy to see something other than mint. Cinnamon smells really nice too. I think they also have a bubblegum flavor, I'll be trying that next. 4. Shipped quickly straight from Weldental and arrived undamaged, took about a week to arrive via the free USPS option. 5. Tablets, it took getting used to but it is really convenient and you always know exactly how many tootbrushings you are going to have left. For me it works best if i don't break it down completely before I start brushing. I bite into it a little and take a soft manual toothbrush wet it with hot water and slowly and gently start to brush around the powder while continuing to bite into the tablet slowly until I feel it lathering up and it mix completely before moving on to the rest of my mouth. Cons Really just one, not really a huge deal to me, but it does contain silica. The strange thing is I didn't know silica was bad until I read about it from a different Weldental toothpaste description. I should have looked this up specifically but I included a picture of the ingredients as well. I think next time I'll try the silica free gentle whitening formula...or maybe no whitening if available. I will give Weldental credit for being more reserved in their use of silica as it is the 7th ingredient of 10. I checked my regular toothpaste "Sensodyne Pronamel Daily Protection" and hydrated silica is the 3rd ingredient of 11. I also visited the Weldental website and I couldn't find the " Advanced Whitening" chewtabs on it. I don't know if this is exclusive to the Amazon store or just leftover inventory of an item no longer in production. The box I received doesn't expire until December of 2022 and it's May of 2021 now, so good shelf life if it's left over. They also sell some items on the Weldental website that they don't sell on Amazon such as an Altoids like mint with nano hydroxyapatite in fun flavors like watermelon and manderine orange (I totally have to try that) and a xylitol infusing water pick that looks pretty cool. Anyway I plan on sticking with Weldental Chewtabs with nano hydroxyapatite for the foreseeable future. I'll be sure to keep checking in for new items and flavors. Thanks.

I wanted a toothpaste that fit a couple big criteria: no fluoride, and less plastic waste. Since we get enough fluoride in the water here in the States, and there's more and more evidence of its toxicity, I wanted to remove as much of it as possible. I did some research on my own, and found scientific papers that the main ingredient, Nano Hydroxyapatite, works as well as fluoride in preventing cavities, and better in helping strengthen enamel. My dentist and hygienist approve this product and ingredient! The container they come in is cardboard, so easily recyclable. The bags can be sent back for recycling, as well. I really like the lack of waste. The tabs are all single-serve, so there's no chance of using too much toothpaste. They clean my teeth well and I like the gentle whitening from baking soda. Since the container is not plastic, make sure not to store it out in the open in your bathroom. The humidity will affect everything, but I keep the container in my linen closet and the baggie of tabs in my medicine cabinet, and there are no issues at all.

We are trying plastic free alternatives, however... these are not plastic free. Inside the box are three small plastic bags containing the tabs. Still probably better than a tube, but we will probably keep looking for a brand with no plastic. The flavor is fine and cleans well. The texture is like dinner mints - creamy. Over all a good product just sad there was plastic

Love them. My friend gave me a few to try and they are great. They taste good and I like the way they foam up when brushing. My teeth look whiter too! Only downside is when you open the pack put in a small air tight container as the will start to dissolve if it is moist in your bathroom.
