Solid workmanship and smooth writing
Great value, timeless style, and nicely subdued barrel color options. Have used and enjoyed the design of Jotters for decades, and this is another good one. The feel is smooth and pleasantly weighted, and the mechanism and sound are unmistakeably Jotter workmanship. Add this to your set of writing utensils for personal and professional use. Highly recommended.

Classy and unique
These Jotter XL pens are the perfect size in my opinion, I feel that the regular ones are a bit smaller than your average pen. This particular series with the all-over metallic pain is a nice variation. I bought the rose-pink for my wife and the all black for me.Premium look and quality, at a great price. Highly recommended. If you can find them on sale here on Amazon, do not hesitate to snatch one up.

Parker quality?
This is my second Parker pen. While this carries the Jotter name the quality is not the same with the XL. Of particular annoyance is the plastic barrel insert compared to the metal insert of the original Jotter. I knew that when I bought it, at least. The clip isn't as sturdily designed and feels cheap with the slight amount of movement. Writing quality is similar but I do feel that the XL blue ink somehow isn't the same. I do love the larger size of the XL compared to the original, however. Its the perfect size for my larger hands. Parker needs to get it together, I dont understand why they would make this cheaper quality.

Improving a classic
I'm a huge Parker pen fan. I like my Jotter, it's comfortable to write with, but it is kind of tiny. I thought I'd try an XL, and they're "just right." Compared to my regular Jotter, I think they're also a little bit wider; not as much as an IM. You get the same "click" everyone seems to like, and the same performance. Solid black pens are popular. I had one from a questionable company and it lasted six months. I learned to stay with the trusted brands, and in my biased opinion Parker is one of the most reliable. They also have the best clip and their refills are the industry standard. I've tried felt tip, fountain pen, and gel, but for everyday writing and especially underlining in books, you can't beat a trusty ballpoint. And for the price, you can't beat the Jotter.Update: I bought another one in a different color for a friend, a Christmas gift. I have a good selection of pens, both ballpoint and fountain, and the Jotter is the one I use the most. It feels good in the hand, is light-weight, and writes well. I've been experimenting with other refills and have been pleased, although the Parker refills are perfectly fine. I'm convinced that overall you can't beat the Parker Jotter XL.

My favorite nurse pen
The perfect pen for healthcare. As a type B nurse, I stick to the bare bones since I can never keep track of things. However, over 10 years of being a nurse, these pens are the only things I’ve ever been able to not lose. It has a tight enough clip that it won’t fall out of your scrub pocket when you bend over. It has a delicious click that doubles as a fidget toy when you need to focus. The weight is fantastic and impressive to those needing to borrow it for a moment (I never walk away when someone’s using it in case they think about pocketing it). I’m now on my fourth pen after 10 years. The first one I actually found in my grandfather’s office cleaning it out when he died, and I simply replaced the ink and used it for years until it got lost during a code blue, still sad about that. But it speaks to the longevity of these pens. I almost feel like I shouldn’t write this review so Parker doesn’t catch wind of how great and long lasting these affordable pens are, I think it’s worth more than what they charge.

Beautiful outside, flimsy plastic inside
I wanted to love this pen, but it is FRAGILE. Attractive with a good size and a satisfying click, writes well for a ballpoint, and the cartridge is well constructed. However, the internal structure is made of what must be very cheap plastic because it snapped cleanly in half upon being dropped once from about three feet. NOT worth $30; beauty on the outside but way too fragile.
