Worked great
Had to get this remote for a lost garage door opener. Directions included that were very helpful. Programmed it on first try and was well worth the price.

Simple program set up
I lost my final garage door and had to get a new set. They were delivered a couple days. Programming them was so simple. Push 1 button thats it. Its easier than Programming the remotes that came with the garage door opener new. I've had them for over a month. They were perfect. Especially from futher away. That's a big plus for me.If you're gonna keep these on your visor or some place where you don't physically handle them would be my Suggestion. The 2 buttons on the edge of the remote are just at the edge of the remote so it's very easy to accidentally. Open your garage if you're walking with them in your pocket or your purse.Or just in your hand. There's nothing protecting the buttons, so even holding him in. Your hand will activate your door and from far away.

Something is missing from instructions
I have successfully installed several remote access code systems from both Liftmaster and Marantec. The instructions included in this system are incomplete and do not work as described. After several hours trying to associate my 10 Dip Switch Craftsman garage door to this remote keypad, I have concluded the instructions are incomplete. After one sequence about an hour into trying, the keyless successfully worked and did open my garage door. This was a total fluke because I had entered the same sequence of numbers as I had the previous 50 minutes of attempts. If I only had one door, I'd have just held my breath and moved on but I had a second door to program. Unfortunately, while trying to program the second garage door (it can theoretically hold two pins for two separate garage doors) the first pin was reset and it no longer works with either door. I spent another hour + trying to fluke into success but have been unable to get the opener to save either codes.Programming for a DIP switch system looks like:1) Enter programming mode by pressing *#2) Enter mode 1# or 2# (the unit can hold two different pins)3) Enter your garage doors specific dip switch position sequence (2 for on, 8 for off) and press # (I have a 10 digit garage door opener so need to enter a sequence of 2s and 8s to match my garage door)4) Enter the default system PIN (either 1111 for mode 1 or 2222 for mode 2) and press #There are other indicators -- not described in the instructions -- the keypad uses to communicate and I believe I have deduced what they are for:-Several seconds of flashing backlight - I think this means "I received and understand keypad pin and have transmitted my stored sequence to the garage door opener"; long flash is PIN #1, Short flash is PIN#2-Three successive beeps - I think this means "Error, I am starting over"-Long beeps - I think this means "success"In my case, I am able to get a "success" beep after steps 1 and 2 but cannot get a success beep after step 3. I have memorized the sequencing for both of my garage doors and have tried many times, including varying up the rhythm of entry, but cannot figure out how to get the keypad to save the dip switch sequences.I really want this product to work because it is exactly what I need. I am also certain it can be programmed to work with my Craftsman 10 Dip garage door opener (because it did actually work for a moment) however, the instructions are incomplete.I wrote this review as a fair and complete overview of my experience to help others. Perhaps someone can help fill in what I'm missing. I am also happy to append this review if I am able to get it working as sold. It is a good value if it can be made to work properly.

Not too remote to work with DIP switches
I read all the reviews and I was troubled by how many people said they could not program the remote. I first bought one that had the right replacement number, but did not allow for DIP switches and Amazon made a refund. I have a Genie with DIP switches and I wasn't sure if it was a 9 code or a 12 code. I got out the old remote that was very inconsistent (Home Depot programmable Genie) and looked at the DIP switch locations. There were 3 positions, with + and - and one in the middle. This one only allows for + and -, but looked like those were all I needed. I set the switches after hitting the program button, The last 4 were all + so I guessed I had a 12 code. I clicked the I button 12 times, ( There are two buttons you can program I & II, This is not the program button where the DIP switches are) On the 12th click the garage door went up. I then waited and pushed the I button and nothing happened. I waited and hit the program button, and then clicked the I button 12 times and the garage door went down on the 12th click. I again waited and tried to get the remote to work by clicking the I button once. Again nothing happened. I got frustrated and thought I got a bad remote that will only work by programming it and clicking the I button 12 times to get the door to open. Then it hit me. You have to click the program button after you click the I button 12 times (for Genie). Then it goes out of configuration mode. After I did that it worked perfectly and all I had to do is hit the I button once and the remote works great. Good distance also. During my panic I discovered there is nothing to google to figure out which button is being refered to in the instructions. Good price and works great.

Great for 2 garage doors- Lift Master
Received this today and set it up right away. The instructions are written in very good english and are easy to follow. This remote effectively operates 2 Lift Master garage door openers (with red/orange learn button). I have two different codes - one for each door. I removed battery for a couple of minutes then reinserted battery and it retained the codes while battery was not present (good!). I read review concerned about factory reset and security. So I opened the compartment and did a factory reset (back to pin 1111). When a factory reset is conducted - the learn is void. So no one can come up the remote remove a screw conduct a factory reset and then use the 1111 pin to get access to my garage. They could come up and do a factory reset so my codes no longer work and I could not use the wall mounted remote to open the garage - in which case I would have to program the device again using the "learn" button on my garage door openers again. Would it be a pain? yes - but my garage would still be secure. I was able to set this up for 2 garage doors and mount it, run tests all very quickly. Very well done - I will have to see about longevity - but so far great!

Works better than my previous one, no security issue identified.
Recently I decided to test the security issue identified by another reviewer. Actually I was freaking out after reading his review. The reviewer stated that security was not good and that all you had to do was remove the battery cover and press the factory reset button for 5 seconds and the factory codes of 1111# or 2222# would open the garage doors. The rationale stated was that although the pin number had reverted back to factory default the garage door opener was still in the memory and thus the 1111# or 2222# would then open the garage doors. I tried this today and performed a factory reset on my keypad. I tried both 1111# and 2222# and neither garage door worked. I then tried my previous pin used to open the garage door and that did not work either. This was proof that I had performed the factory reset correctly.I purchased this after our other remote started malfunctioning. I've only had it for 3 weeks but we love that we can control 2 garage doors, each has its own Passmore. It seems to work very well and I can only hope it gives us a few years of trouble free service. Only time will tell how long it will last but for the time being we really like it.By the way, I had no problems following the instructions and pairing it with our Chamberlain garage door opener.
