I bought the LINKUP Cat 8 cable to use for a hardwired connection to my router and gaming PC. The cable feels very solid, with a thicker jacket and shielding than standard Ethernet cables. Once connected, the link has been rock stable, no random drops or interference. From a performance standpoint, it handles gigabit traffic easily and is overkill ready for higher speeds if you upgrade your hardware in the future. The connectors click firmly into the ports and have proper strain relief so they are not stressing the ends of the cable. The cable is a little stiffer than Cat 5e or 6, which is expected due to the extra shielding. You may want to plan your routing so you are not forcing sharp bends. For anyone who wants a clean, high bandwidth wired link for streaming, gaming, or a home server, this has been an excellent choice.

Fantastic value for what you get .. built like a tank latest generation .. very well shielded fro EMI /RFI each cable comes with a FLUKE certificate I am using them for a high end Audio system .. after a slew of new Cat 8 cables with plastic connectors failed .. these are an excellent step up .. i will be buying the same connectors used in this cable ..sold also on amazon ...to repair some broken cables .. UPDATE Sept 4 2021 Audiophiles this IS the cable you want . My entire system except for the last 2 cables are AudioQuest Carbon .5 M running into my DAC and RooN core after running through 2 GigaFoil V4 filters ..are now this Product .. Speed Improvement and EMI / RFI are reason enough ..but these cables are built to last . The Cable is stiff so tight Bends may be an issue .. it is just an Installation consideration NOT a major issue …the Connectors are absolutely Top notch .. and shielding is truly end to end This is the perfect cable if if YOU do not believe in Audiophile cables .. and are perfect for all cables in the peripheral’s that now surround Digital Streaming

Just buy it! Expensive but no degredation so far after years of use. Very had to break connection tabs also. Factory tested. I still use mine.

I have some advice for those who believe wire is wire and everything digital is zeros and ones and there is no possible way that this cable could effect audio quality and that you have a PHD in electrical engineering from an Ivy League school. My advice to you is go find a different hobby. Seriously, because you must not enjoy your system very much considering how much time and energy your type wastes disputing what others can clearly hear. Now, could anyone hear a difference with this cable being in a double-blind comparison monitored by the United Nations if it were in your system? The answer is “NO” and that is because developing an exquisite system at a certain point becomes similar to peeling layers from an onion and those that can hear a difference enjoy that experience because up to that point they had thought there is no way their system could sound any better and yet they found something that sounds better and they are happy. Then some naysayer comes along and tries to prove that it is impossible for an Ethernet cable to make a difference. Well it does and I think it has to do with Cat 8 spec shielding and the solid strand wire which reduces the skin effect. And while I am at it the difference a power cable makes is because it serves to smooth the current and acts as a capacitor. Especially mine because I make them from Neotech single crystal wire which has no grain boundaries. Also, because copper wire, then brass, and the copper again causes eddy currents that are audible. Now your type is going to really go nuts when I tell you that my system is so refined that I heard a difference when I switched the faceplate on my Furutech GTX wall outlet to a Furutech carbon fiber faceplate. It has to do with vibrational energy. Anyway, I hope that the naysayers spend the rest of their lives refuting what I have written. Just at least allow your children or grandchildren to experience the incredible aural sensation that comes from a highly evolved system before you ruin what could be something very enjoyable to them. And one more thing and that is that I am never going to look at this post again. So if some naysayer thinks I have not replied because they had disproved me they will be wrong because this diatribe is meant for those who know that wire can make a difference. Now I will get back to enjoying my system.

This cat cable is used to send and boost clean filtered network from my Panamax MR5100 to a switch hub. I get an extra 10+ gb of internet From the pairing with the hub. I use the non overkill cat8 cables from linkup to send network to my Mac Studio and 2.1 marantz stereo receiver with no issues at all after 10 months of use

I use this for audio so signal clarity is really important. I know, 0 and 1 etc but electrical noise is also a thing. Sometime you just have to use your ears. This cable, solid occ core, is really good. The cable is stiff but Do Not hard bend it, you’ll ruin the smooth outer which is why occ matters to reduce the skinning effect. It comes with measurement paper. At this price point, and if you on a budget, it’s such a competitive product. Highly recommend, get the 22ga, your bass will thank me!

This Cat8 cable is made to a really high standard, including the RJ45 connectors. A lot of Cat cables are made of stranded cable to increase flexibility, but where high performance is needed, solid core cables are better. This cable is 22 Awg solid core, which is the largest gauge available, meaning it’s not very flexible and needs space where it’s being used and connected into equipment, but the results are worth it for streaming hi res music, where the Linkup cable transfers the signal and keeps noise out. Lesser cables like a regular Cat6 give a harshness and grain to the sound.

Finally a proper LAN cable for audio, astonishing value for music lovers. Compared to my AQ Cinnamon, it reduced harshness / edginess quite a lot, so highly recommended (especially for the price).
