If you are looking for a hot, spicy Italian crushed red pepper for your pizza, pasta, stuffed peppers, etc. this is it. It has a nice fruity flavor with real heat. I'm Italian - American from Brooklyn and I know the real stuff when I taste it. This is it. By the way, there is another Calabrian crushed red pepper on sale from Amazon (sorry, but I threw out the package so I don't remember the name) that only has moderate heat, say a 3 on a 1 - 10 scale (10 being the hottest) that I also like very much, as does my wife. This pepper is very fruity and adds just a little heat and is perfect if you don't like things real hot. It's a good product too. By the way, if you want authentic pepperoncini, BUY ITALIAN. Look where the product is from. If it's from China, fuhgeddaboutit.

Being a Third Generation Italian, I have always been interested in products from the region. Came across these after a search for Italian Peppers I had seen on Cooking Shows. The price was right for this Large nearly 9oz jar(3x3x5.5H). They have the great flavor one would expect and heat similar to a Cayenne or Arbol chili. After trying this you'll never go back to the standard Grocery Store Variety. These are far fresher tasting. The flakes are much bigger so you might want to have a way to grind them a bit. I used my Majic Bullet and ended up with results that not only impressed me, but one that any Pizzeria or Italian Restaurant would be proud to have on their tables. Great for making Hot Italian Sausage and Sauces, Mexican dishes, and even Asian dishes. I will definitely be purchasing again when needed.

I have been trying to reorder science I purchased my last jar 5 months ago ,it is available again and is just as I received last time.

I ordered the same name brand that I did last time. Very disappointed, mostly seeds, no sign of pepper flakes. Also, not returnable. Very disappointed. Will not order the brand again.

I love this pepper blend, it's absolutely delicious and can go on anything, even desserts. It's great in hot chocolate or brownies! I use it on eggs, salads, soups, stews, roasts, veggies, pizza, burgers, casseroles, pasta... nearly everything. It's spicy without being too hot and the flavor is amazing. It lasts awhile since you only need a little. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars for me is it's already salted. If you need to keep to a low sodium diet look elsewhere. It's pretty salty already. I wish I could find one without added salt. Otherwise it's perfect. Put it on everything. it's great even added to ketchup or other sauces like teriyaki. But again since those things are salty themselves be aware it can quickly turn to being far too oversalted. Because of this I find I can almost never add as much of it as I would like to. Super yum though. 9/10 would recommend.
