These Vont camping lanterns are excellent. I have purchased them twice.They are great for camping or walking outside at night in a dark area. They are very bright but you can control the amount of light by sliding the lantern case to the preferred amount. They can be hung up inside a tent. I have also used them in my home workspace at night to see detail with extra light. The only drawback is the batteries aren't rechargable, but they do come with batteries, and they seem to last fairly long. Overall I think they are great.

Have several of these to use in case of power outage. Always take a couple with us to basement during tornado warnings too. Handy to use when needed outside as well. Simple, functional, very "user friendly" design that provides ample light and enables you to control the degree of illumination. by a simple pull/push on handle.

This LED camp lantern is fantastic! It’s super bright, lightweight, and easy to carry. I took it camping last weekend and it lit up our entire tent area perfectly. The battery life is impressive, and it feels sturdy and well made. Highly recommend!

I'm pretty happy with these lanterns for the price and the quantity (i got 2). Comes with some generic batteries but since LED lights are low power the batteries should last a bit, especially if you're planning on using these lanterns in emergency like I do. Brightness wise its bright enough, it won't turn night into day but its bright enough to light up a room and make it habitable if the power goes off, if you pair it with two then its more than enough. The lanterns are also pretty light thanks to its plastic body and acrylic housing. And that leads me to probably my only con besides the "good enough" brightness levels, is the diffusion of light from the acrylic window. it doesn't spread out the light 100% evenly so you'll have what I call "splotches" of light spread around the space. It's not terrible or a deal breaker but it is noticeable but again not enough to bother me. The body is also made of plastic so I wouldn't call it super durable. Can probably take a couple of falls and dings but I wouldn't call it a workhorse. Overall these are good lights to have in a pinch, or even if you're looking for a daily lantern that doesn't break the bank. If you're looking for a serious lantern or one with multiple features I'd pass on this one. but it does the job, I can't complain and it gets my thumbs up FYI I noticed there are several lanterns on Amazon that go by different brand names but look identical to this one. My guess is that several vendors use the same private label manufacturer so keep that in mind if you happen to find this exact model of lantern.

I have one of the original lamps that this company put out and was very happy with it. So, I wanted to get a few more to have on hand when power goes out, which happens pretty much every year around here. When this offer of two units showed up, I went ahead and ordered them. Here is what I found: 1. This is the same quality item as I had ordered almost a year ago. Very well built and easy to use. 2. The light output is varied by raising or lowering the lights into the body of the unit. That is also how you turn it off (fully in) or on (partway out). Keep in mind that while it changes the amount of light you get, it does NOT increase battery life as all of the LEDs are fully lit all of the time. You are only covering over some of the LEDs to reduce light output. 3. This light is NOT weatherproof!! So, if you use it outside in the rain ensure that you fully dry it off when you bring it back inside. I used this for a display at Halloween and it rained quite a bit. The light never failed, but it did need to be dried off as there was water between the body and the lens and the inside of the lens was fogged up. After drying the unit off in the house overnight, everything functioned correctly and I closed it back up and put it into storage. I pulled it out yesterday and it worked just fine. 4. The LEDs on this light will dim as the power in the batteries goes down. This is NOT one of those lights that suddenly goes out. You have lots of warning as the lights start to dim. On rechargeable batteries I get about 9 hours of use before the LEDs are so dim as to not be usable. I have had excellent support from this company when I had a question and I am very happy with their product and how have several of them for emergencies. I would highly recommend this product and the company!!!

I ordered these for a camping trip I went on last week. I had read other positive reviews, so I figured for the money they were worth a shot. They are fantastic! They throw a lot of bright, white light 360 degrees and were great for lighting the tent and campsite. One hanging from the inside of the tent, and one hanging from a tree outside the tent did a great job of lighting the site. Though the lights have loops on the top, I would recommend getting small bungees to loop through them and whatever you want to attach them too. the friend that I can't with, who is an Ave camper, was very impressed with these lights as well. They are very convenient size 2, they are about the size of a soup can. The way they turn on and off as clever, you just pull them open and they turn on, then push them closed to turn off. I can't comment yet on the battery life, although we used them for 2 nights at a few hours each night, and the batteries lasted fine. I actually plan on leaving these in my car, they'd be great emergency lighting in the event of a flat tire or some other roadside emergency. I may also purchase an additional 2 keep in the house in the event of power outages. I tried them in my house when I first got them, they easily light up a dark room. all in all an extremely satisfied, and would definitely purchase this product again. You just can't go wrong for the price.

Great for around the house or anywhere to be honest. Easy to use and convenient- you can carry it, hang it etc. light is bright.

Bought for power cuts. Brilliant little lantern and it gives brightness to a room similar to a bedside lamp. Don't know about battery life as only just bought. Highly recommend!
