Very easy to use and set up. The record feature is really good especially with the USB cable to download to a pc. The negative is that when you print the graphs you cannot change the axis titles and it would be so much more user friendly if it used the date and time on the y axis so that you could easily see when the noise was recorded and could identify spikes in the noise levels by time. Whilst you can see this information on the screen I had to actually hand write times onto my graphs so that I could correlate this to activities.

The product arrived quickly and well packaged and it feels very sturdy and able to withstand a bit of use.The meter powers up and works fine,However the software doesn’t work.The software instructions were for a newer version than what was supplied on the cd.After some googling I found the new software and the software started up fine etc but no matter what I do,I can get the meter to be found.Every time I plug the meter into the computer , the computer recognises it and says it’s vonnected fine but the software can’t discover it.I brought this meter and not a cheaper one as I wanted the software monitoring so I’m a little disappointed but the meter itself works fine.

First issue is, it comes with a cd which must be installed to connect the noise meter to your computer. who has a computer with a disk drive these days? I requested a link from the supplier to download this software, no response. Second issue - due to the cheap construction materials used to manufacture the product, the battery terminals corroded within weeks, rendering the item unusable as power from the batteries could not be conducted to power the device. DO NOT BUY

All in all an excellent product that's easy to use and has excellent recording capabilities. The only thing to bexaware of is the software won't run on Windows 10 (even in compatibility mode). If it did it would have gained another star.For me it wasn't a huge issue as I have a couple of old lagacy Windows XP machines and it installed perfectly on them.

I was in a hurry to purchased and missed the fact on the web site that the meter is for Windows 7 users. Consequently as a Windows 10 user I was not able to print a hard copy of the meters readings. I should think it is okay for those still using the unsupported Windows 7.

This instrument is being used to record the noise level from Night Club music late at night, until 4.00am in the morning.At this time we are experimenting with this instrument, and at this stage it's performing very well.

Works great! Not measured the accuracy yet. Software works well also! I wrote a replacement as the protocol was easy to sniff with wireshark. The supplied software flagged up as malware on an online scan... so I recommend only using inside a virtual machine.

At first glance this is an easy to use device. My biggest issue with it is the software. As mentioned in other reviews, the PC ( I have tried a few) shows the device connected, but the software doesn’t and so cannot log data. The whole reason I bought this was for data logging. It will go back unless updated and usable software can be supplied.
