This is a must have tool to help you remove and to carry your old or new battery from or to your car.

I see other reviews complain about the pads or the sharp teeth or speculate how long certain parts will last. The motivating factor for my purchasing this item is that ITS MADE IN THE UNITED STATES!!This is not so much a tool for a company who’s business is in large part selling batteries. It’s made primarily for us part-time do-it-yourselfers that change a battery once a year or so. It’s rugged enough and like all tools, if you keep it clean and lubricate the pivot points, there’s no reason for it not giving years of service. I’ve used it twice just to test it out and it has preformed flawlessly. It was tested on a battery from my 4.0 Jeep and from my 327 in my pickup. Let’s keep it in the USA where we can. 5 stars overall.

I don't provide this 5-star review lightly. I needed it to transport a couple of large (100lb) 6V batteries and it has been working well for this ...I have confidence that the battery grip is good and that it won't slip out and break my toes :)The construction seems really good too (well made).Only minor complaint is that the orange handle grip slips a bit, and I either had to shift how I hold batteries, or temporary put it down to push the grip back on fully. Not a huge deal though - more on an inconvenience. Still recommend it for sure.

Well built with strong handle and great grip. Have had to walk nearly a mile to the liquor store ever since I lost my license so I now use this to pack my box of beer home.works great.

I chose this battery lifter from the many similar products, because the photos of the competitors showed 2 spot-welds per side where this one didn't show any, which lead me to guess it was fully welded. Upon close inspection of the actual received product, 4 spot welds per side are visible, but the surface treatment has almost rendered them invisible. Both the double number of welds and attention to surface finish show a greater attention to detail, suggesting suoerior quality. The box is also unusually well-padded for such an item. The manufacturer stamp is Lang, of Racine Wisconsin, and made in U.S.A.
