P291-4553RS - 45 + 5 uf MFD 370 Volt VAC - Carrier Round Dual Run Capacitor Upgrade

Things don’t last like they use too. I’m again replacing this capacitor.

Our AC would blow are via the fan but didn't blow cold. After popping it open it was apartment that the capacitor was the issue. (It was bowed and leaking) So, we found this capacitor which is exactly the same. The old one lasted for 7 seasons in the hot dessert heat. The installation was quick and straight forward. Once in place we turned the power to the AC unit back on and turned the thermostat on, and away she went. It has been working great since.

Fixed my A/C for cheap. Most of the time your home A/C fails, it’s because of this. Probably took me 20 minutes to replace. Start to finish. Make sure you take a picture of the wiring before you take out the original one. You can use that as a guide on hooking up the new one.

The ACs in my development are starting to fail. Two of my neighbors spent around $200 for a repairman. In both instances it was a bad capacitor. I took a chance and purchased this capacitor. Removing eight screws and replacing the old capacitor took less than 5 minutes and my AC works again. Please remember to turn off the circuit breaker before before you start working on your AC.

OMG!!! 90 Second fix and saved ~$130 service call for ARS just to drive up. Watch a YouTube video, a nut driver, a picture on the cell phone and shut off all the power. Sears purchased a/c unit 6 month past warranty. Took much longer to clean the condenser of pollen, lint build up. Very basic DIY maintenance that ANYONE can do!!

Installed this capacitor same day it got delivered and it worked as advertised. Was an easy install that took no more than 10 minutes. My AC was up and running immediately.
