No more batteries! These are great and will pay for themselves over buying Lithium batteries after a few years. Best in full sun. I had one that only got a couple hours of sun and a high picture count and it could not keep up charge. I had to move the camera to a sunnier location. They do work fine even in periods of cloudy days. This is deep winter use now so not many leaves to shade the cameras. I suspect in the spring and summer with full leaf canopy, I will need to be careful where to position them. Time will tell how the battery packs hold up.

Works as it should. Have this connected to a revolver camera, battery status has stayed the same for 5 months with thousands of pics taken.

SUPER FANTASTIC! Just purchased another 2 pack of these. Rugged and well made. I’ve had the first pair purchased out all winter in sun-zero temps and they’re STILL at 100%! These have already paid for themselves in what I’ve saved on batteries. Highly recommended!

I run 10 game cameras throughout my property. The 12v batteries in a box work great but require you buy a separate solar panel, adapt it to fit the batt box, then mount both separately. So when I found these combined units online about $15-20 less than buying batt an panel separately, it seemed like a great idea. Between Oct 2020 and Nov 2023 I purchased a total of 8 units. A total of 4 have now failed!! I see two major design flaws, both where the power cable exits the batt pack. 1) The outlet gasket does not seal. and 2) The outlet is on the hinged end, meaning if you mount the pak so the panel can be tipped out toward the sun as designed the non-waterproof outlet is on top. The first pak to fail was obvious the batt ruptured. When the second pak failed I opened it to find water inside and realized the power cable outlet was placed on top and not sealed. I proceeded to ensure all packs were mounted flat, placing the cable outlet on the side. This is no easy task as they are mounted on vertical posts and trees. Two more have now failed. The most recent is the one pictured. The included pics show dirt and debris on the grommet as well as the lack of any indention or pressure marks that would be present if it fit tightly. SO, NOT SEALED. Pics also show water condensed inside. When bench checked with a circuit tester the solar panel seems to still work, but the batt is dead. I’m changing to the new model batt in a box w/ attached solar panel. This one definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

If you are looking to use this with a small.CCTV camera, this is not the power source for you. Move on. If you are looking to use this with something that sends out short bursts of data and is in sleep mode most of the time (Trail Cams, motion detectors, SCADA Controllers, etc.) this is what you have been looking for. Everything needed for a quick installation is in the box. I had it set up in under ten minutes. The mountain provides full flexibility in accommodating mounting surfaces and even comes with a strap for temporary installation. The construction is rugged and designed to meet all weather situations including baking in the sun. The connectors are also weather proofed to keep moisture from intruding. My panel arrived fully charged but per the manufacturer, a discharged panel will take seven to eight hours to recharge. Now here’s where things went sideways for me. The way the unit is structured, the solar panel is set up to only charge the battery, and your device is downstream from the battery. If your device is under constant load,the battery will never have a chance to recharge and will become depleted. Your end device will have to be disconnected to allow the battery to recharge. With devices that are in momentary operation, the panel / battery combo have the ability to do their job and your device will work as intended. I had to return mine for a set up where the charge controller can switch between solar panel operations by day and battery by night. The price point and all in one package is a great deal, I just wasn’t able to use it for my application.

Stealth CAM was out of their Sol-Pak Battery Charger, so I went on Amazon and found one. These are very easy to install, will extend your battery life for months! Stealth has outstanding quality products and the connecting is a single waterproof solution! Not sure of their compatibility with other trail cameras, so check to see if they are!

I have 2 of them on cameras for 3 or 4 months now. Zero battery change. I have had a few die over the years but still better than changing batteries all the time. I have one with wires showing and bear teeth marks in it. Still works perfectly.

In just months, it has saved me the same price in batteries.

I leave cameras out year round and some in areas you don’t want to hike into just to change out batteries. I have some that have been active since last September and they have worked flawlessly up to now even with the frigid temps this winter.

It works great and nice that I don't need to double a every month as it takes 16 at a time, and it was fast delivery
