Animals in Art (Sabrina Hahn's Art & Concepts for Kids) Board book – November 10, 2020

Wonderful book, cute rhymes, easy to engage different ages with layers of text.

What an adrenaline rush of joy last night was... I sat down and wrapped two presents for my nephew Cape and my niece Phoebe, and they were the same present: the “Animals In Art” book by Sabrina Hahn. I cannot wait to see their reactions when they open the gifts... the book is SO colorful, so big that it feels like a toy in and of itself, and from what I can tell without having opened the packaging of the book myself yet, I watched a couple YouTube reviews and the book and it is both art / science, fun / learning, bringing kids along a familiar journey of the animals they know and love while introducing them to a world they might not be as familiar with: the world of fine art.It’s that combination that makes me so, so, so pumped to see Cape and Phoebe open the gifts. Cape is also going to open his in the car this upcoming Sweatpants Sunday, so I’ll get to see his reaction before Christmas morning, and read it to him then.Sheeesh. Cannot WAIT!!!!!

I bought this book because the earlier series ABC's in Art and 123's in Art were so popular when I gave them to my friends and family as gifts. Animals in Art is a great gift for the holidays and a perfectly completes the set. It can also be beautifully displayed on the coffee table and/or the kids side tables in their room. It is thoughtful and whimsical but best of all the quality in the stucture of the book is superior. The cover is so thick and when I run my hands on the surface I can feel the light denim like fabric. It is obvious the author and publisher put a lot of thought into the product. The whole series is excellent in quality that one can pass it down for many years to come.

I am extremely picky about the books I buy for my grandchildren. There are a lot of awful books out there with no creativity, poorly written and illustrated. This book is a delight when compared to those. The text is simple enough to engage the child in simple conversations using the beautiful art as the springboard. Children will love all the different styles the artists present as they flip through the book over and over.I have purchased the other books as well in the set and they are equally as delightful.One other thing I will mention is that the books are extremely well made. Heavy board book material is used so there is no worry of a child damaging the pages. They can enjoy without supervision and the books will be lasting to pass on to their children.

Bought this as a gift for my niece - it was a perfect gift. Such a great concept to introduce kids to art in a fun and playful way. Well made, great content, colorful, fun and playful. Great for enjoyment by everyone of all ages as a fun refresher!

First, I love these books. The concept is phenomenal, and they're printed beautifully with a thick, fabric cover & 3D lettering. Sabrina hit the nail on the head, and I love being able to expose my daughter to all kinds of art. So far I've bought "Animals in Art", "Bedtime With Art", and "ABC's of Art". I plan to buy the other two (Colors & 123's) sometime as well.But I only give them 4 stars for a reason. I was pretty disappointed to find, after excitedly flipping the pages of ABC's, which I bought after Bedtime, that there were two repeat paintings. I was also disappointed to find repeat words for letters between the ABC's & Animals books. It's not a huge deal, but I was disappointed. There are plenty of other paintings I can think of that would easily replace the repeats. For example with S is for Stars, the painting could have been "Starry Night Over the Rhone." The rhyme could have even stayed the same! Again, not a big deal, and I'm excited to get the next two books, but I am taking off a star because of it.

What a beautiful and delightful book. Engaging and stimulating, young readers will be mesmerized. Quality through and through. Together with Sabrina Hahn's ABCs and 123s of Art, this trio makes the perfect gift for a budding art books collector!
