Versatile AI Vision Sensor with a Few Quirks
I recently purchased the DFROBOT HUSKYLENS Smart Vision Sensor to experiment with AI vision for some robotics projects. Overall, I've found it to be a powerful and feature-packed device, although not without a few quirks. Pros: + Supports multiple AI vision functions including object detection, color recognition, face recognition, line tracking, tag recognition, and object tracking + Built-in display makes it easy to use and test without needing to connect to another device + Can interface with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LattePanda and more for integration into projects + Reasonably priced compared to its capabilities Cons: - Some users have reported issues with power supply causing visual artifacts, so a clean power source seems important - Documentation and example projects are currently a bit limited, making it harder for beginners to get started - The companion software only supports certain Arduino boards like Uno and Nano - Low resolution camera limits precision, especially for outdoor use Overall, the HUSKYLENS packs an impressive array of AI vision capabilities into an affordable and easy-to-use package. The built-in screen is handy for configuration and testing. However, some limitations around power requirements, software compatibility, and camera quality mean it may not be suitable for every use case. More extensive documentation and example projects from DFRobot would help beginners take full advantage of its potential. While it has a few rough edges, I've found the HUSKYLENS to be a very capable device for the price. It's great for learning and prototyping computer vision applications. With some further refinement and better supporting materials from DFRobot, it could become an even more compelling option in the space. I look forward to seeing what projects the community creates with this powerful little AI camera.

I’m sure it has a lot of potential but seemed too restrictive
For having been on the market for two or so years, there aren’t many projects available to get experience using this sensor. Maybe I was doing something wrong but could not access the six or so projects on the DFRobot HuskyLens website. The built-in software is okay and shows the potential for the sensor but instructions on how to customize the software are lacking. For the price, I rather purchase and use multiple microcontrollers.

Pretty awesome little trinket, just make sure your power source is clean
I bought this to play around with object recognition and triggering to see if it can detect 3d printing defects and trigger a pause routine on one of my printers. Overall, it's fun to play with, but right out of the box I realized it handles power...funky From the first power supply I tried, the camera has blue lines of static jittering across the screen/camera, at first I thought it was defective, so I decided to use my pc as the next power source, this time it's clearer, there's some obvious lines but they're not a different color entirely and the camera didn't seem to be struggling to develop the image. Turning the LED Lamps on the front on finally cleared the picture completely, so I'm not really sure what's up, but it does seem like as long as it has a fairly clean power source it works as intended. All the same, very fascinating little concept and I'm already cooking up some additional projects outside of 3D printing I'd like to dig into. As I learn my way around it, I may update this review a little bit later.

Great Product
This product works great, it is easy to use and does what it advertises. Support could use improvement and the library only works on boards like the uno and nano. It has built in lights for retroreflectors and can use both iic and uart.

Facile ed intuitivo ma la risoluzione bassissima della camera lo rende inutilizzabile per scopi dove ē richiesta precisione soprattutto all' esterno.
