Mod way cool…
Great console, looks and functions unique retro cool. Panels slide smooth. Assembly is not overtly difficult, but rather time consuming. Comes with a bunch of parts/panels (as one would expect looking at photos) and there is some small potential to goof it up if you rush it. Ultimately the initial is stronger, sturdier, with the extra support parts. Although I don’t think I could trust it as a “bench” to sit on so much, I put various retro art stuff, plants, small industrial retro lighting on it. There’s a lot of different ways you can go with this console, storage and display for a variety of things. I saw this on a home theater video demo for AV receivers and I thought it was a nice option. I installed speakers inside it, little book shelves. Can actually hide the speakers by pulling the slide panels over them, but I prefer to leave these exposed. The sound actually gets a little boxy (of course it does) when “hidden.” But it’s still not bad. Fits a decent amount of gear and is quite customizable. Suitable more for low profile gear setups. Like a receiver and blueray, maybe a cassette tape deck if you are old school. Just know this set up stock per instructions, it won’t take big tall receivers (without deviating from the instructions a bit, like removing a shelf from the design, which is easy to take out/put back). Everything I’m using in this room fits perfectly. Bonus, I like the side tables that match, thinking of picking these up as well, as a surface for turntable with vinyl record storage, or whatever else looks good.

Update: top will began to sag from weight of tv. Using TV below recommend size. Top sags and you cannot slide doors anymore. Bad design. Very well packaged. Just a heads up this unit comes in 2 boxes. We received the boxes 5 days apart. Looks great! Sound Bar fits perfect in the center.

Attractive and Sturdy Value - That you put together
This is a solid and very attractive piece of furniture that isn't going anywhere during the next hurricaine. At under $300 it's also an incredible value - and I think the reason for that is that all the labor for putting together furniture like this is on you - the customer. And there is nothing wrong with that. In this case, plan on budgeting 2-3 hours to put it together. You will occaisionally need a second person to help you move things around, but I tend to think of things like this as a 1 person job. I found all of the parts and directions to be meticulously organized. Well done! There are lots of cubbies for storage, but not all of them are for audio equipment since the wire access holes in the back only account for some of the cubbies - but not all. I'm sure someone could drill some holes in the back if needed. Overall - I'm extrememly pleased with how it turned out.

Good looking Console that is Wide But Not Deep :: Won't Fit a PS4
Got rid of a 10 year old entertainment system, and wanted something wider; however, I failed to measure the depth of this new console. It's about 3" too short - depth wise to hold a Playstation 4 (PS4) gaming console (see pics). The PS4 blocks the sliding doors, so was disappointed. I cannot ding the manufacturer for me not measuring, but it does seem like a bit of an oversight on their part not to include gaming console measurements in their design. I'll probably knock out the fiberboard backing (on back) to make it fit. Overall, the console went together fairly easy - especially, if you're used to putting together furniture w/ cams etc. I thought the doors would be the most complicated, but they ended being the easiest to put on since the doors are already assembled. It had one small ding towards the rear of the top shelf from shipping, but not enough to return it.
