Best Balance Bike out there!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I'll start with the fact that I rarely leave a review... It has to be so amazing or so awful that I feel compelled....I definitely feel compelled....I was searching for a balance bike with a brake after my 2.5 year old started going too fast down hill on his Strider and had a good wreck... No damage but I knew that he'd not keep pushing limits if he had no control and I didn't want another near heart attack! Just some stats..He's 35" tall, 30lbs, with 100lbs of attitude! He learned on his Strider and the moment I pulled the Woom out of the box he was jumping up and down about his new bike....I was too! Serious quality...I'm a gear junkie....I'm big into biking....I have 5 bikes and they are all quality bikes.... The difference between Strider and Woom is like the difference between a razor scooter and a motorcycle....I have both of those too.... Every part on the Woom is a real bike part...bearings in the hubs and headset, no bolts sticking out on the handle bar, pnuematic tires that offer significantly improved traction, a real hand brake that he can reach and will teach him from the start how to hand brake, wide handlebars that makes it easier to control steering better, a steering limiter, a real seat with a little padding and the perfect shape for sitting, which is important on a balance bike since they have to sit to move...there is no standing on pedals to give the toosh a break. I've already researched the next size up for his transition to pedaling....love that they offer freewheel on the pedal bikes....I don't want him to have a bike with coaster brakes since it's not what he will ride when he's older. It came with a bell that he loves and it works really well...again, every component high on quality...all for only a little more money than a Strider...worth every penny. With all of this said....he's only ridden it for one evening...so if anything changes and I find the quality not lasting to my expectations, I will definitely update my review.

Best toddler bike!
I love this bike, and my two year old son loves it! I bought my son a strider balance bike several months ago, and he never seemed to get the concept of sitting and gliding on that bike. He continued to straddle and walk the bike. I adjusted the seat height multiple times but he never progressed past the walking stage. I purchased the Woom 12 inch balance bike with the much higher price tag. Within seconds he was riding and gliding around, on day five he was speeding around. He has learned to use the breaks and he loves this bicycle. I have put him on the strider again to see if he can now ride it, and yes he now can. But he looks a little more squirrelly and unstable. I attribute this to the structure and placement of his body to the bike. The reach is further for him to the handle bars and the positioning or fit is not as ergonomic. The Woom bike is made like a real bicycle but miniature, and is proportioned well. Worth the money spent and I will definitely purchase the next phase of the Woom bike when he is ready.

Quality product vs. assembly line knock offs!
I've been around high end bikes all of my life and I can quickly tell the difference in hurried production garbage and a bike that was made with care and concern for quality! I love all the thought and detail that went into the design of this bike! The bike is light (as it should be for small kids) and the pneumatic tires ARE A MUST! PARENTS do not be fooled into thinking about convenience versus what will be more enjoyable for your kid! Stay away from airless tires, these roll so much better and you child will enjoy them more in the log run I promise you! The bike cost a bit more than some others, but again are you looking for quality product or one that is cheaper and designed more for speed of production purposes versus your child's enjoyment! I also purchased Woom's wooden bike stand. Its an unbeatable price and a must to keep from having to lay the bike down everywhere. We currently keep it indoors next to front door so Dylan can grab and go!

Woom woom zoom!!
The Woom 1 was top pick on many different sites, and this balance bike did not disappoint. It was a gut wrenching decision as there are many low cost alternates that were equally well rated. But for our little nugget (who's on the small side) it was also one of the few options available. The key decision points were the inflatable rubber tires and a small sized brake lever (just like an adult's bike). I heard many gripes about the solid foam tires but the Woom is one of the lightest balance bikes out there. The pneumatic tires really cushion bumpy sidewalks and overall, this is the slickest looking balance bikes for toddlers. Our girl loves it so much, she rides around the house as well.Absolutely there was sticker shock but you get what you pay for and this is one quality product. I recommend this whole-heartedly and it's one of the best purchases ever for our munchkin.

Expensive but very high quality
We bought this bike as a gift for our daughter's second birthday. She loved bicycles and tried out the strider at a store near us but we ended upgrading her to this bike after reading the online review at twowheelingtots. Our daughter is average sized but has a short inseam which really limited the balance bikes we could get her. This one fit great from the start (she was in 18M-2T pants) and she was easily able to maneuver the bike and pick it up from the start. I think she probably could have used it around 18 months if we had bought it for her that early. She used it a bit at 2 but mostly walked over it, took a break from riding because it was too hot out, then started taking it out every day in the fall. She absolutely fell in love with her PURPLE bike as soon as she started riding it again and this time she immediately started to glide. She uses it several times a week and loves to test herself on it. She is 2.5 and is starting to use the hand brake, which is a great feature for the bolder kids and is helping preserve her shoes! We plan to use the upcycle program and get her the WOOM2 for her 4th birthday or maybe Christmas depending on her size. Another great feature is that the bike is light and well balanced so you can easily carry it by the seat when your kid suddenly decides to run off.

Appalling customer service from Amazon & Woom
I researched Woom balance bikes for weeks before buying this one for my almost 2 year old son. I also bought the Woom 1 plus for my 3.5 year old daughter. Initially all things were great and my husband and I agreed it was a great investment. We raved about the bikes to friends! Then several weeks ago my sons ankle is covered in marks and bleeding. We realize that there is a sharp piece of break wire sticking upwards which has literally sliced my sons ankle. See photos.I immediately contacted Amazon and the customer service I received was utterly appalling. They wouldn't replace the bike and only offered a refund but were unwilling to get us another. Free shipping on this bike is now no longer available therefore I would have to pay shipping & customs to bring in from outside Canada, which I did with my daughter's bike. Therefore I contacted Woom USA directly and included photos of the bike plus my son's injuries. Well...the response I received from them was even worse! I had a lengthy reply detailing how we should treat my son's injury!! Firstly, my husband is a health professional and secondly why on earth are Woom giving out medical advice?! I was advised to take the bike to a professional to have the wire cut and I would be reimbursed for labor cost. No offer of actually sending a new bike given it is clearly faulty. And now 2 weeks later...the break has completely detached and is now broken!! Several hundred dollars and supposedly fantastic quality but ultimately garbage!
