It plays multi-region discs without any messing around.
Ordered this as my old Pacific DVD player from Asda had decided not to function properly anymore. Also the Pacific only had a scart connection so after reading the revues I decided to purchase this one. On first appearance out of the box it seemed a bit small but not a problem as it fits in with my other tv/hi-fi equipment quite well. It's virtually a plug and play. Set up to play in minutes. Loads of menus to play around with when you get the time but it's pretty good straight out of the box. Remote is easy to use, pretty basic layout design. Draw is a bit noisy but nothing to get over-excited about. Now to the nitty gritty. Is it multi-region. Yes is the answer. I have loads of DVDs from down the years from different regions and so far I've not come across any that will not play. I've tried regions 0, 1, 2 and 6. Quality of the picture is superb although it's always going to be dependent on the quality of the disc being playing. Put the disc in the tray and off you go. No messing around with codes. I haven't tried the USB port yet so can't comment on that. Only minor flaw is the volume on the DVD player itself. Scaled from 0-20 but on ma I would say it's overly loud. Of course you can make up for this with your TV volume or a soundbar. All in all, an excellent piece of kit and a bargain at the price.

Compact.
An upgrade for my previous Denver player, as I have a lot of USA dvds. Used provided leads, hdmi was a nightmare, pity.

Good equipment multi region.
The seller (not Amazon) operate a strict no repair after warranty period elapses policy which is most unhelpful.Amazon offer good warranty periods and possible extensions.

Would not recommend
Would not recommend. I purchased this item in March. Delivery and packaging was grt, however, as it was over 30 days before I was able to use the player on playing various DVDs it was found to be defective. The DVDs would start to play but then stop and state "No Disc". This happened with all the DVDs. It has a 1 year guarantee but I am unable to contact the supplier (3wisemonkeys) as they are not answering their phone nor the manufacturer Denver as I cannot locate contact details. I tried calling Amazon but could not connect with them.

Worth the Price.
I bought this to replace a Denver 1244 which is showing its age, primarily to show ntsc dvd's. The remote has not changed much, to small for big fingers. You get used to it or buy an All for One . It is easy to set up once you get the hang of it. Complaints about not playing some dvd's I found as with my previous one to be Blue Ray dvd's It says " No Disc "" Fair enough.". The rest play without any problems. The picture and sound are Good. It is a Basic Player and well worth the Price and made in Denmark.

Easy to damage in transit
It plays my American DVDs ok. Which is what I wanted it for. BUT… The DVD player is lightweight and must have been damaged through Amazon’s extra careful warehouse experience. The light display didn’t work properly when I switched it on. After pressing down hard on the top above the display I got it to work properly. Must be a loosened connection that reconnect when squeezed. For the first few weeks I had to do this every time I opened and closed the disc tray. Until I squeezed the life out of it feeling like I was going to either fix it or break it. So far so good. Due to a lot of similar reviews, I chose not to send it back as it could be a lot worse. If you’re choosing to buy one of these from Amazon… GOOD LUCK!!.The remote isn’t the best, but it works. It’s not as noisy as some players, it’s quite quiet. The light’s a bit bright, when it works. The picture quality is good but not the best HD. £10 - £15 would have been a more reasonable price.

This an excellent value player
I have no complaints at all about this machine. Set-up couldn't have been simpler and both picture and sound quality are extremely good and there seems to be good.I asked a question before buying regarding seeing where you are on the DVD, which I expressed badly and so got different answers to. This player has a screen which shows elapse time, which is what I was looking for. The Panasonic i replaced did not have such a screen and it was really frustrating without it.

Much to my surprise, it works fine and easy to install
I wanted to watch some DVD’s only available in the USA - The Good Witch films and others. I was sceptical that it would work and also not be easy to set up. I was wrong, set up was just a matter of plugging in and it works very well and the DVD’s play fine. Recommend if you too want to watch DVD’S from other regions
