It Works!
I don't know what I like best about this diet -- that I've lost some weight or that it makes me feel fantastic, both physically and mentally! Although it takes a bit of effort to get the hang of it as at first it seems so complicated, once you do, it's really quite easy to follow as long as you are willing to make some drastic changes in your eating habits. The good news is, once you do, you will find you do not crave the foods you've given up. In all honesty, I have not completely followed all the recommendations in the book. I do not follow the sleep schedule, nor do I take all the supplements, which might be why may weigh loss is slow (about 1.5 pounds a week). but with that said, the results are nonetheless amazing. Within the first week my mood and motivation skyrocketed. fatigue and general aches and pains were gone. It has been four weeks now and it just gets better and better in the energy department. The greatest drawback is that some of the food is hard to find and, when found, rather expensive. This book is good for those who are wiling to make major dietary changes in order to lose weight and feel great. However, for those who are not willing to give up their coffee, artificial sweeteners, diet sodas and processed foods, it might not be for you.

This is an interesting book with helpful information
I have only been on this diet for three weeks. It's a four week entry into a new way of eating, so I have one week to go.The book does what it promises to do: I lost 13 pounds so far; I feel better and sleep well. My only weakness is that I cannot get to sleep when the books recommends - strongly recommends. I thought it would be difficult to stay on a diet that precludes wine, but there is so much food each day the sugar craving isn't there, and I felt so good For wine drinkers, it's allowed in the fifth week, I believe, another reason I like this diet; it doesn't demand one abandon all one's little weaknesses.I've tried other diets, and one, South Beach, was successful, but I couldn't stay on it. Something was missing after the first two weeks. Other diets emphasize losing weight and that generally didn't happen. I lost 13 pounds in three weeks on this diet.

Great Idea---Just try to do it yourself
The idea behind this book is not just intriguing, but probably true. Ordinary unguided diet and exercise may not help most people lose weight and regain a proper quality of health simply because their road to health is being blocked by hormonal imbalances. The author suggests that the process of healing should begin with a liver cleansing/detox, followed by entry into quite a restrictive diet, gradually adding back foods into the diet that are well tolerated by the individual patient. She provides extensive checklists intended to help the patient identify particular hormonal difficulties, and she provides suggestions that are plausible for dealing with each one. The greater span of the idea seems very good and probably effective for many people. As I see it, the whole thing is grossly impractical for most people. It is possible for anyone at all to start, if they are willing to buy her particular line of cleansing/detox products. Beyond that, the diet suggested is quite restrictive and may not be possible for everyone to implement, at least quickly. Part of the problem for many people is less time available to shop and prepare their food. So, knowing they should have a diet that requires more attention is not necessarily a practical help. Finally, although I should point out that I'm not the right sort of doctor to make medical pronouncements, I really think that the chemistry of the endocrine system is more intricate and trickier than her check lists foresee. The results are too easily confused, and the family of tissues which actually contribute to the hormone mix is larger---much larger---than our high school textbooks may have suggested. It seems to me much better to measure biochemically for imbalances than to infer it from the checklists (not very detailed check lists). That part seems a little off to me. If this program were to be undertaken in a retreat setting where someone else were doing the logistics of food preparation, and if actual hormonal testing were available, then I think this would probably work great---just wonderful results. It's a good idea. Not many people will be able to make it work from the book as written. Separately, I think the book could have been written a good deal better, but, then, I didn't write it---so I ought not complain about that.

Happy i found this book.
Love this book. She knows what she is talking about. I was eating healty before but no weight loss. I lost 4 pds in 2 weeks since starting this diet. I feel so much better and i feel the changes in my body even though i havent lost that much yet. I can see it in my face that i am losing fat not just water wght. I am 59 yrs and havent been able to lose wght for 15 yrs. I have no cravings on this diet. Lost desire for sweets and carbs. Have mostly stuck with the food list from the 1st week because i think i may have insulin resistance but definately something to do with carbs..even carrots. I ordered her carb sensitivity book last week. I think i finally found the answer i have been looking for. I am happy with the foods i can have,i dont feel deprived. So i have been able to stick to this diet which is a first forme. Thank you Dr. Turner

She feels great physically and emotionally to finally have the results she ...
Outstanding book my wife is middle aged and worked out but she could figure out why she could not lose weight past a certain point. She bought both of Natasha's books and read them thoroughly. More importantly she systematically followed Natasha's plans. Over a few months her body is transforming. She has lost 15 lbs and is thrilled. She feels great physically and emotionally to finally have the results she wanted. and is now proud of her body again. Note no magic or quick fix. She works out 4 plus days a week and followed carefully Natasha's diagnostic steps and then diet change. But truly great to see that after years of frustration not understanding why she could not get benefits she has her answers... And her results.
