Evap error code
Got the dreaded evap error code on 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. First thing I did was check gas cap and clean seal. No joy. I then ordered this vapor cannister as next logical step. Took 15 minutes to install only because took my time and made sure all connections were properly sealed. Works perfectly now! No runs, no drips, no errors....

Fuel Cap Warning. 2006 RAM 1500 HEMI
I installed this valve on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi engine. The Dorman 911-202 Vapor Canister Purge Valve was a direct-fit and super easy to install in about half-an-hour.The valve on my truck is located in the engine bay, right under the fuse box and battery tray. It is easy to access. To remove the old valve, I suggest unplugging the connector first (you’ll need to push the red retainer to the right to unlock it), then remove the valve from the bracket by pushing the release tab while pulling the valve body toward the front of the vehicle. The two hoses have a one-piece rubber connector which can get “sealed” to the valve ports. To remove it I used a tiny flathead screwdriver to help release the rubber connector. Just take your time and it will let go once the seal is broken.Installation is the reverse of the removal process. And the same steps may be used for other vehicles using these valves.I also disconnected the negative battery terminal to reset the computer while I replaced the purge valve.Once everything was buttoned up, I reinstalled the negative terminal and tightened it securely. Then started the truck and gave it a few minutes to allow the computer to adjust to the new valve. The “gascap” warning is GONE!Thank you for reading. 😊👍🏻

Fixed 2nd try
I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 4.7L 4X4 and was having an issue with the engine stalling after filling the tank with gas. This ended up fixing that problem however, the first one I received was defective and wasn’t purging the vapor. I was worried that something else was causing the problem, but decided to see if I got a defective product, and that’s what happened. it was tricky because I did not have any check engine/dash lights or codes, so it was difficult to tell if it was still the solenoid. After installing the second one I haven’t had any issues and it just turned out to be a defective product. (It happens) if all the planets are aligned, install should be pretty easy since it is just one electrical plug and then pulling a rubber fitting that slides over the small tubes coming out of the solenoid, and sliding the valve off the bracket. But if you’re like me destined with bad luck, you might have to remove the whole bracket, if it will not detach from your old solenoid, which is a massive pain. You will have to take off the fender liner and possibly the drivers side wheel to have enough space to unscrew the two screws holding in the bracket.Good luck!

Dead on arrival
Bought the most expensive purge valve thinking it would be more reliable but it was dead on arrival.

Purge valve for 07 Chrysler Town & Country
Purchased this purge valve after having stalling issues after filling up with gas in my 07 Chrysler Town & Country van. After doing research on the issue through Youtube I ordered it through amazon. Must admit I was skeptical at first but after the intal I filled up with gas and was totally delighted that my van no longer stalled. Would recommend to any car owner having the same problem. The price was much cheaper then OEM.
