Robolink Zumi Easy DIY AI Coding Autopilot Robot Car STEM Education Kit for Kids 10+ & Adults

When I got the Zumi for my son, I was thinking it would be a fun little educational toy to keep him occupied for a little while. I had no idea how much my kids would get out of it!First of all, sustainable packaging! No mountains of plastic and junk I can't recycle. The robot came in layered cardboard I can break down easily.Next, the parts were all labeled neatly with pictures of each screw to make them easy to find. They even gave us extra screws and a screwdriver so I didn't need to get anything extra for my child to build the Zumi.The building! I was expecting the Zumi to snap together, but my son was building everything and seeing how all the internal parts go together. When we build with the LEGO MINDSTORMS, the parts just snap together but you never know what's going inside, this is a HUGE step up! There's also a place for the LEGO's to connect to the Zumi so my boy can mix up their learning.The off-the-computer time building the Zumi was a good idea. It took about an hour and to see how proud my son was when he built his own robot was the best. For someone who always wants to know how things work from the inside, I can't recommend this product enough.So far, my son has been coding for days and my daughter is interested in it now. She's learning Python coding and wants to get an internship at Google. I will probably get her to do some of Robolinks online tutoring because she says the Python code she learns can be used for other programs too.If my kids keep up with this I might get them the CoDrone for Christmas!

This dynamic little bot it so cute and teaches AI in a way that I have not seen implemented anywhere else. As an EdTech enthusiast, I know my robots. This one is small in size but powerful in capabilities. The lessons make learning highly engaging and the platform is very easy to use. RoboLinks lesson platform walks you through using zumi and writing code step by step in a very easy to use fashion. You do need to be aware that Zumi doesn't come preassembled. You will need to build the bot. This could be a good thing for older students, as they will clearly understand it's inner workings. However, for anyone below about 13 or 14 this would be challenging task due to the intricate nature and the small part sizes that you must work with. This isn't a bad thing just something to know prior to deciding to purchase. If you are purchasing for a younger child be mindful that someone else will likely need to construct zumi for them and then they will be set to learn. I love that zumi is a girl robot! This shows female coding empowerment.

This product is great and it has so many great features and sensors. I really do enjoy programming in python and using the camera for some computer vision tasks. It has loads of educational content and it's a great python learning tool for those who want to learn python.The Blockly functionality is nice especially for those who don't know python. Overall it's great for beginners with a lot of room to create advanced projects.The build was relatively simple attaching the motors was a bit tricky but there was a build video that helped out. Took me about 40 minutes to finish the build.

Zumi is a lovable little robot that is a great tool for learning to write code. If you want to get your children into robotics and coding this is a perfect choice. RoboLink has done a fantastic job with creating classes to help you and/or your child learn. Remember-Zumi is not just for kids! Adults who want to learn coding and robotics are welcomed at RoboLink! I would highly recommend Zumi and the company behind her (RoboLink).

Awesome kit I was surprised how fun this was

This definitely helped my child learn python and the basics of machine learning. Its interface is very user friendly, and the tasks that Zumi comes with are very proactive. It is easy to assemble when taking it out of the box, and the cover is very cute. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in robotics and is looking for a good place to start.

The instructions were very easy to follow and I assembled Zumi and connected it to my WiFi without any issues.Driving controls (with a camera!), code editors (both Python and Blockly), as well as lessons are all built into the Zumi itself and can be accessed through the Zumi Dashboard.I've used many robots to teach coding, and I am very impressed with the included features and how affordable this one is. I would definitely recommend this as a gift to anyone that is interested in either robotics, machine learning, or just learning how to code.
