PCB Refurb kit for SEGA Dreamcast Controller Ports - Fuse Capacitor Battery Holder Resistor Dreamcast Controller Port Fix RGB Refurb LED kit

Replaced the old parts, got a new rechargeable battery (original was dead), and installed it. Works fine. I like the rainbow LED upgrade! Adds so much character to the front of the unit.

This is a well assembled kit of medium-high quality components and is a great option for someone who is upgrading their Dreamcast. If you are upgrading more than 2 Dreamcast systems then save yourself a lot of money and build your own kit on Newark or Mouser instead.You can skip the ML2032 battery and use a CR2032 with a DO-34 diode to save a couple extra bucks if your are bulk rebuilding systems.

I really like this kit! I wanted to upgrade my dreamcast controller board since it was getting so annoying updating the time everyday due to dead battery. This kit gave me everything I needed to update my controller board. This was my first time soldering and I watched a “how to” video and just installed the kit along with the video. The led is bright and I love how it is multicolor rgb. The parts are good quality and with around 25 hours of playtime I have had no issues.

The kit works and the RGB led provides a fun effect to the power light. I didn't use the resistor and capacitor with this kit. The resistor was a smaller amperage so I left the original. The capacitor brand in the kit is cheap. The Dc original cap is a high quality nichicon. It's important to replace it regardless due to its age. Luckily I found a name brand panasonic cap in my parts stash so I used that.

Not much to say. I’m sure I could have gotten it cheaper sourcing it myself, but i like that it came in a kit.

I got the kit mainly for the battery holder and fuse. The RGB LED is a cool bonus, though it doesn’t do orange, which is a shame given orange was the stock Dreamcast LED color.

All the components were great quality and installed super easy!

I love the fact that all the parts I needed came together in this bundle! My husband was able to switch out all the parts in under 30 mins! I didn’t read what color the LED light was and I was so surprised (and very happy) to see the colors rotated between RGB!!!

En mi caso de que casi nose muchode electronica y soldadura me resulto facil su instalacion eso si no ocupe 15 minutos como en tutoria dice pero si fue menos de 1hora para instalarlo y queda muy bien el led en el dreamcast
