Great product. Works well.

Works as advertised!
It works great on lead jigs, tougher to get it to stick to a white plastic shad tail. If you want your grey lead ball jig to transform into a chartreuse colored skull attracting spotted bass magnet, this is your product!

Great product to coat fishing jigs and lures with.
I primarily use this product to coat jig heads for the steelhead and twitch jigs I tie. I have used it to rehab old, chipped spinners as well with good results. I probably own 20 or more jars of different Pro-Tec products from black to chartreuse and UV blast topcoat to glitter clear coat. Like any coating it takes some trial and error to figure out. Proper heat regulation is essential as is the amount of product you get on your lead. Once you have it down it becomes easy to repeatedly put bright, uniform coatings on jig heads and lures that are hard as nails. I made a 6 pot fluid bath so that I can have easy access to multiple colors and smooth, even coatings. I purchased a used convection oven that will handle 50 jigs at a time. That’s all you need to make great looking lures. I usually spend a few hours before the start of salmon season and take care of most of my needs at one time. The one problem I’ve found with owning something you only take out a few times a year is that you can forget exactly which colors you already own. I now have a lifetime supply of this particular color, 3 jars.
